L is for Long Hair
The other day, my siblings and I were bored, so I made a new game. I wrote down a bunch of scenarios, some more difficult than others, and put them in one jar. In the other, I wrote down conditions, or little things that could make it difficult to do even the simplest of tasks, and put them in a different jar. Then I told Emma and Dave that whenever we were bored, we would pick one slip of paper from each jar and have to act out the scenario as if we had whatever setback was I picked out of the other jar.
You’re probably wondering why I named this alpha ‘Long Hair’. Well, one of the funniest scenarios that has happened in the game involved long hair. It was my sister’s turn to pick cards for us to act out, so she picked a scenario first. She pulled out the card and read aloud, “Act like you’re cleaning your house.”. Okay, we thought, that’s easy enough. So she pulls out the next card. “Act like you have hair that is long enough to drag on the floor.”. So we’re stumbling around, acting like we can’t walk properly, when all of a sudden there’s a loud sound like a person falling, coming from behind us. Our heads snap back to see what made the noise, and we see my brother laying on the ground, wrapped in about 6 or 7 scarves. Before we could even ask what he was doing, or what had happened, he looks up, giggles, and says “Hey, look! I’m Rapunzel from Tangled!”. So Emma and I start cracking up, because we’ve finally got my brother to start making references to Disney movies, so that makes my him start to laugh because we started to, and my Dave has a really funny laugh, so that was making it really hard to stop laughing, and the harder we laughed the harder he did, so we were basically sitting on the floor of my room laughing hysterically, almost to the point where we were unable to breath. Eventually we pulled it together, and kept playing the game, but to this day, whenever someone asks what one of our best memories is, we always say the long hair story.
Life Lesson: Be creative, it could give you awesome things to remember.
