Lucy's POV

It's been almost 6 months since I forgave Laxus, and things couldn't be going any smoother. We keep going on dates and tonight a ball is being held at Fairy Tail so he asked me to be his date. Gramps said it wasn't going to be too formal so we're trying not to look too formal. It's practically just like a dance. We're all going as a group but we still have dates to dance with, and when there were rumours of being a ball, I immediately started saving up for it. Me and the girls are currently dress shopping now.

"Mira, this would look so good on your tonight!" I held a maroon satin dress that was cut mid-thigh.

"Lucy you have such a good eye." She takes it out my hands and rushes to the changing rooms.

"Lucy, I have found the perfect dress for you!" Levy chirped, holding the most gorgeous dress in her hands that I've ever seen.

"This is why you're one of my best friends!" I giggle seizing it from her hands and quickly get changed in it. I emerge and they all wolf whistle.

"Laxus won't be able to keep your eyes off you!" Mira giggles.

"Girl, Freed will be staring at you all night in that." I giggle.

"Well I think we're done for the day!" Erza concludes already purchasing her dress in advance.

"Get ready at my place?" Juvia offered.

"And walk into Fairy Tail like we own the place!" Lisanna grins. "Hell yes!"

We file out the stores and skip back to Juvia's house, ignoring the fact that Gray, Laxus And Gajeel were playing games in the living room.

"Hey sweetie." Juvia kisses her boyfriends head.

"Hey Raindrop." He smiles despite not even looking at her.

"The girls are going to stop ready here tonight, so can you meet us at Fairy Tail at 5?" We start making our way upstairs.

"Sure honey." He pauses the game and receives a groan from the other two boys. "We'll be gone by then."

"Thanks Icy." Juvia winks before pulling us into her bedroom. "Now lets get changed!"

Before we left, fully dressed and made up, Juvia double checked that the guys had actually left. And they had left.

Laxus' POV

I pull on the collar of my maroon shirt that had a few crinkles in, but nobody seemed to have noticed. All the guys are anxiously waiting for their dates to arrive so the ball can get started. A few of them have arrived, like Bisca and Wendy. But for us it's slowly pissing us off how they're taking their time. We all turn our backs and order a drink.

"Let's get this started!" A loud voice yelled from behind us.

"Now everyone's here, band!" Gramps yelled pointing at the band in the centre. They struck up a bouncy song and I can't keep my eyes off Lucy. Her blonde locks have been curled and pulled into a high ponytail, a purple flower crown laced around her head. A pale grey material hugs her body, the back of the dress open in a detailed pattern. Her pink tattoo is gleaming in the candle light.

"You look stunning tonight." I walk over and offer her my hand.

"Thanks Laxus. You look good yourself." She takes my hand and we begin to dance with our friends. The band changes into a slow song, and more couples take to the floor. Lucy's arms wrapped around my neck and mine placed just above her hip.

"How's work then?" I ask, swaying side to side.

"It's booming." She smiled. "More people are wanting original designs, so it keeps me busy whilst working. Plus I don't have to wear that uniform any more, just something I'm comfortable in."

"That sounds good."

"How's the band?"

"With Gray as our manager, he promises no tours for another year. He teaches us all sorts of moral lessons, and we're becoming more of a family then  just a band. Our music is better than ever."

"How's Freed?" She raised a blonde eyebrow.

"He's slowly remembering me. I think he needs some time. It's just sad to see an old classmate like that."

"I want him to remember you. If that's any constellation?"

"I want him to remember me too."

All the other dancing couples melt away and it feels just like me and Lucy dancing on the floor. Her chocolate eyes can distract me from anything as they sparkle in the candle light.

"Laxus?" She looked at me.

"Yeah."

"I just want to say, that I trust you. You're such a good person, and I've forgiven you for what happened months ago. I'm just saying this because in case something happens tonight."

"Lucy?"

"I trust you." She reassured me and I hugged her tightly. To hear those words from her, it melts my heart. My Lucy Heartfilia.
