Lucy's POV

How on earth am I going to explain this to Laxus? Will I have to runaway? But I can't really take her with me. I wish I could've told Laxus as soon as I found out I was pregnant but I knew he couldn't leave the tour, so it was better for him not to know. But now he's coming back in less than a week and I have no idea what to do. I don't want to runaway, I want him to be part of her life, but I'm too scared. He probably already assumes somethings up because I told a terrible lie. His music is his life and I could never ask him to give that up, but he'd be leaving us every 2 or 3 years for a year each time.

The week passes by and Levy and Erza have been comforting me with many hugs and brownies. They've been ridiculous but I've loved their company. They also helped me move into a small house, when I told them I was pregnant. I couldn't really raise a child in a apartment. I've gained a bit of weight since having my baby, but I don't care how I look. I care about my baby and Laxus more than my appearance. The clock strikes 7, and familiar voices are laughing down the street, and one of them shouts goodbye. This is the moment I'm hoping will go to plan. No escaping him now. Not now.

Laxus' POV

Wendy told me her new address and her house is in sight.

This is it. I knock on her door a couple of times, gripping my suitcase anxiously. My knuckles slowly turning white. The hallway light turns on. Finally, she pops her head out the door and I drop everything and hug her sorry sight; purple bags are sat underneath her eyes, her golden hair is greasy and pulled into a careless ponytail. She looks exhausted.

"I missed you." She cried in my arms and my heart sinks.

"I missed you too." I shed a few tears as we tightened our grip on each other.

"You've missed a lot over this past year." She pulled apart from me, and led me to the living room. "You know the night you left."

"Yeah." She went upstairs for a minute and hung back still talking to me.

"I told you I didn't care if you didn't have protection that night when we went home."

"Lucy please come downstairs."

"I'm scared you'll runaway Laxus." She began to cry. "I'm scared you'll leave me. A few weeks after you left the doctors told me I was pregnant."

"Lucy, please come downstairs, or I'll come to you." The staircase didn't creak so I went to her. I began to cry.

"A month ago I had her. I was scared you'd runaway because I didn't tell you anything. I did t have the heart to pull you from your tour because I know you love the band. I thought I'd take care of her until I could tell you."

"What's her name?" I slowly walked up the stairs and smiled at the bundle in her arms.

"Layla. Layla Elizabeth Heartfilia." She rocked her back and forth.

"Can I hold her?" Lucy's brown eyes snapped up and more tears ran down her cheeks.

"Really?" She croaked breaking into a smile. "You really want to?"

"I'll never you leave you two. I promise you Lucy." She handed me Layla. "I won't leave you Layla."

"Laxus." Lucy grinned wiping away her tears.

"She looked like you Lucy. She had your golden hair."

"She has your blue eyes." I sat next to Lucy and we admired our beautiful daughter.

"I love you Lucy." I kissed her cheek and she leaned on my shoulder, stroking Layla's cheek.

"I love you too Laxus. With all my heart." Her eyes fluttered shut and fell into a deep slumber. Carefully I put Lucy and Layla into bed, and I followed. Smiling I soon was asleep. I'm a Father!
