Lucy's POV

Over the past week, Laxus and his friends have been booking appointments for their tattoos at the Celestial Rainbow for patch-ups and cleaning the final product. Aquarius is no longer mad at me for going on my phone whilst working because I haven't been; I've been chatting with everyone and getting to know them so well. Wendy gave me her number and we keep making jokes with each other, so we're becoming close. And I got word from Erza that Gajeel took Levy out on a date a night after they met, and she hasn't stopped smiling since.

Yesterday Laxus told me where our date would be and I need to buy a new dress, as my only dress was for prom and it's way to formal for going out to a rustic pub. As soon as my shift is over, I dart back home and search for all my money inside my bedroom: $25 is all I have, and it should get me something cheap and pretty from a thrift store. The time goes by quickly, and I'm running back into my home and throwing off my day clothes and slipping myself into the dress. My sun clock chimes 6 alerting me to leave right away, otherwise I'll be late, and trying to sprint in heels is definitely not an option. Why did Aquarius put me on the latest shift ever?

Laxus' POV

I keep picking at the loose threads in my jacket whilst pacing the pathway up and down. The market clock snaked with flowers screams 6:15, making me panic on the inside. Lucy is 15 minutes late, and she would've said if she was going to be late or not.

"I am so sorry that I'm late!" A panting voice exclaimed loudly, turning myself around. "Aquarius gave me the latest shift, despite me arguing about it. I think she was being stubborn about the subject actually."

"Um, it's okay." I stutter trying not to blush. "You look stunning by the way."

"Oh," She looks slightly thrown back. "Thank you."

"Shall we get going? I don't know about you, but I'm starving." We both walk towards the lively pub.

"I think I could eat a whole cow!" She laughs, combing a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I think I could eat 2!"

"So you think you could eat 2 Gajeels?" She giggles.

"You naughty girl!" I laugh. "Should I give you a punishment?"

"You'd need to try extra hard for that Mister!" She waves a rude finger, and freezes. The whole pub is silent.

"Well," I cough slightly. "Well continue with your damn meals."

"Ouch, wouldn't want to get on your bad side." Lucy leaned in very close.

"You'd need to try extra hard for that Blondie."

"You're blonde too."

"It suits you though, Blondie." She flinches, looking very annoyed with the comment.

"Just please don't call me Blondie ever again." She mumbled, frowning.

"I won't just smile." I reach for her hand on the table. "A smile looks good on you."

"You absolute flirt." A burst of red shades her cheeks.

"Now, what do you actually want to eat because I'm sure that eating Gajeel's aren't on the menu."

"If he was, he'd be the most unpopular dish on the menu."

"You're very cheeky you know!"

"That's one of the many sides to me!" She beamed, with a pearly smile.
