Laxus' POV

It's been more than 2 years since I met Lucy and I hate that I have to leave her. Gray promised us 2 years for a break and we all became comfortable with our ordinary lives in Magnolia but our tour starts in a few days before our anniversary, and I really don't want to leave. Lucy doesn't have any idea of the tour and I made Juvia and Wendy not tell her because I want to.

The frying pan sizzles out my thoughts and Lucy walks in with a steaming plates of steak, eggs and chips for the both of us. Her hair had grown over the years but she got it cut to shoulder length so it wouldn't be hard to look after: so now she side ponytail with her half of her hair.

"Lucy I want to tell you something important." I ignore the food in front of me.

"Go ahead Laxus." She smiled taking a bit of her steak. I take one of her hands and squeeze it tightly.

"Well Gray promised us 2 years where we wouldn't have to tour but if we want to keep producing music we have to. And those 2 years are over."

"When are you leaving?" She asks smiling weakly.

"On Thursday."

"Oh." She sighs.

"I know it's before our anniversary but do you want to celebrate it early. Tomorrow?"

"Sure." She nodded her head.

"I'll miss you Lucy."

"I'll miss you too Laxus." Her eyes started to water but she blinked furiously, so they wouldn't fall.

"It's a date then. You best dress because I have such a good idea."

"Don't worry I will." She squeezed my hand and we began eating. Soon enough we showered and went to bed, Lucy hugging me tightly.

"I'll never forget you Lucy." I whispered stroking her hair until she fell asleep.

Lucy's POV

It's Wednesday and Laxus left early so he could plan our anniversary. The reality hits and I try not to cry again. My Laxus is leaving me for I don't know how long but I've got to be respectful of his decision. He loves his band and I don't want to be the reason he doesn't have fun with his friends.

I get dressed in one of his shirts, because they look like a dress on me, tying a white belt around my waist to keep it straight. Slipping on my black ankle boots I head into town and begin looking for something nice to wear tonight. I don't have an idea of what to wear.

The hours fly by and I'm waiting patiently for Laxus to escort me to the anniversary plans. A gentle knock hit the door and on the other side is Eric who is dressed like a waiter.

"Miss Lucy Heartfilia I'll be escorting you to your date tonight!" He led me through the town and I let myself cry. Lanterns were strung across the park, blankets placed underneath the oak tree with candles lit. And in the middle of it all is Laxus holding a single rose. Eric had to pull me out my frozen stop so the date could begin.

"You planned all this?" I croaked smelling the red rose.

"Yes I did. I had help." He gestured to my friends bringing out trays of food.

"Oh My God." I gasped as the assortments of food were placed before us.

"Shall we?" He sat down and I followed after him.

"Do we have to eat this in a specific order?" I looked at the savoury and sweets.

"Nope."

"Good!" I giggled, popping a chocolate covered strawberry in my mouth.

"How did I know you were going to do that!" Laxus chuckled and Gramps walked up with two glasses.

"A Electrifying Bolt for the man. A Fiery Heart for the beautiful lady."

"You created your own drink?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Anything surprising about that?" He raised an eyebrow too.

"May I try?"

"It's strong." He warned handing over the glass. I took a sip swallowed it quickly.

"Tastes nice, what's in it?"

"Rum, Ginger and Vodka."

"Good combination."

"Thanks." He smiled sweetly and my heart still manages to melt. Soon enough we had eaten and Natsu approached us with a violin in hand. I giggled and stood up and Laxus did the same. Natsu began to play and we linked hands and slowly danced on the spot.

"This is an amazing anniversary." I put my head on his chest trying not to cry. "Thank you Laxus."

"You're welcome Lucy."

"I really am going to miss you." I sniffed desperate to hold back the tears.

"I'll miss you too. I promise to call you everyday. I love you Lucy." His grip tightened and I cried in his arms.

"I love you too Laxus."
