Laxus' POV
I invited Sting and Rogue around to meet Layla first as I think they'd be the most responsible with her. I'm pretty sure they'll go crazy when they see her, but they won't do anything rash like Natsu or Wendy would.
"What time are they coming?" Lucy asked again, eating her lunch.
"Soon. I said around lunch time. So the should be here any minute." I sat across from her and finished off my lunch. Layla bouncing up and down in her high chair, a small smile on her face.
Knock! Knock!
"That'll be them." Lucy got up and opened he door. She showed my two best friends in, holding flowers and a light pink bag.
"We had to get her something on the way." Sting beamed, handing Lucy the flowers, Rogue putting the bag down on the sofa. "And something for her Mother as well."
"You didn't have too." Lucy smiled. "I best put these in some water." She went into the kitchen.
"Sting, Rogue." I pick up Layla and she giggles in my arms. "Meet Layla!"
"She's such a cutie." Rogue smiled, tickling her underneath her chin.
"She definitely takes after her parents." Sting laughed.
"How old is Layla?" Rogue asks, as she holds onto his finger.
"A bit older than a month." Lucy walked back into the room, giving Sting a hug. "Do you two want a drink?"
"Some tea would be nice." Sting said following Lucy back into the kitchen to help her.
"So when are you going to propose to Lucy?" Rogue whispered as we made our way to the sofa.
"Tonight. I'm going to take her out to a fancy restaurant. I was hoping you and Sting would babysit."
"We'd love to." Rogue exclaimed.
"So would you like to hold her?" I ask and he nearly tears up.
"Can I?"
"Of course you can Rogue." I hand her over gently and he rocks her.
"What are you two talking about?" The two of them re-emerged from the kitchen with a pot of tea and four mugs.
"I was asking Rogue here if he and Sting wanted to babysit Layla, as I wanted to take you on a date tonight." I explain, pouring the tea.
"Really?" Sting beamed sitting down next to his partner.
"Where's the date going to be?" Lucy asked, sitting down next to me.
"The Water Fountain."
"Seriously." She gasped. "Sting and Rogue are you free tonight?"
"Of course we are." Sting smiled kindly.

Lucy's POV
I go and run myself a bath, and relax before my date, while Laxus goes and reserves a table. Layla has gone with Sting and Rogue. So some me time is in order. After a nice soak, I rinse all the shampoo out my hair and dry it. I spend my time wisely, choosing my dress for tonight. A blond haired face pops into the bedroom and I blush.
"Hey Laxus."
"Can I come in?" I nod and he quickly shoves a velvet box in his pocket. I wonder what's in the box. Hmm.
"Did you get the reservation?"
"No. They said you have to book a table a day before." He frowned, sitting down next to me.
"Well we're not wasting tonight. I say we go to a regular restaurant and still have fun."
"Let me get dressed then." He gently ushers me out the bedroom and I wait reluctantly on the sofa.
"Shall we get going?" Laxus walked down the stairs and held a arm out.
"Let's." I took his arm and we strolled into town, and into a moderately fancy restaurant.
Time flies as we catch up on the time we lost together. I missed his pearly smile, his dazzling blue eyes. I missed all of him. We leave the restaurant and take a walk to the park. This park brings up so many happy and sad memories for the both of us. Laxus leads me to underneath the tree.
"Lucy I've missed you this last month. I love all of you, and I missed every bit of you. You're my world and Layla is my world too." He bent down one knee, and reached into his pocket. I began to cry. "I couldn't think of spending the rest of my life without the special girls in my life."
"Laxus." I kept wiping the tears.
"Lucy, will you marry me?" The velvet box opened revealing a golden small diamond ring.
"Of course I will." I bent down and hugged him tightly. We parted and he slipped the ring on my finger. I stared in his eyes, I love him. "I love you so much Laxus."
