Who Knew

Chapter four

It's the first day of summer and I wake up to a knock at the door and I didn't expect to see what I saw. Lewis. He was in pjs and still had a bed head.

"Wha... What are you doing here, it's nine in the morning and it the first day of summer."

"I came here to apologize Avery."

"You did?"

"Yes and I'm so sorry how I reacted yesterday and I should of just walked away but I couldn't. I can't. That's how much I love you."

All I could do is stare. Then I said

"Lewis, I..."

And before I could finish my sentence he kissed me. And I was in shock. But I kissed back, it was like my body knew what it was doing and wanted it to. It ended abruptly when I pulled my self out of his spell and and jump backed like someone had pushed me away.

"Avery, I'm so sorry I didn't mean, I mean I didn't know, I just did it I'm sorry."

"Lewis it's fine but I need to go back to bed I'm still really tired."

"Ok...Um we'll text me later ok?"

"Yeah sure."

And with that he left and walked down the street with a face like someone just told him his dog ran away, sad and confused.

I woke up around noon. The first thing I did was check my phone and it was blown up. By Lewis and Ivan but only two messages stood out. They both said only said three words.

"I Love You."

Then Ivan texted and said he was headed over so I got up, took a shower, brushed my teeth, and every other thing in the world. I to shed about ten minutes before he showed up. I was outside waiting for him.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"What did you come over for?"

"I thought we could go see that new Eat or Be Eaten movie."

"Oh, ok let me get my wallet and ill be right back."

I ran up stairs and got my wallet and my cell phone and ran back down stairs not expecting to turn right into Ivan. He caught me and with a smirk on his face. I just stood there and stared. I knew I was blushing, I could feel the blood in my cheeks, staining them a bright red. He let go of me the. Said we should start towards the movie theater. After he let go I felt cold inside. Either because Lewis had kissed me that morning or because I like him. I can't believe I would choose him over Lewis but I can. It's something about Ivan that just pulls me towards him, I don't know what though.

My phone kept buzzing on the way. I hoped that Ivan couldn't here it but all my hope was gone when he said

"Who's that?"

"Nobody, probably just Maddie. And why did you do that yesterday, I'm still iffy on forgiving you."

"I did it cause I need you. I couldn't live without you and I will fight for you any day."

All I could do is stare, I do t know what it is with me and not being able to think.

"Avery?"

Then I noticed I had stopped walking and had pulled out my phone. Then I was reading a message from Lewis and it said "I'm coming over." As fast as I could I replied that I was at the store before Ivan came over and peered over my shoulder. I was glad because right at that moment Maddie texted "Hey". Ivan took my hand and we started walking again but this time, we were to close for any friend and hold hands.
