"Hello?"
"Um... Hi Ivan."
"Avery, what's up?"
"Um... Nothing."
"Is there anything wrong Avery?"
"Um... Sorta, kinda, I don't know."
"What is it?"
"I think we should just be friends."
"What?" He said with a lot of sadness.
"I think we should just be friends. I just kind of have a feeling it won't work and all but you know..."
"Ok, I get it. Do you still want to that movie on Friday, as friends?"
"Yes. Of course. Can Maddie come?"
"Yeah and if her brother wants to too."
"Ok. Talk to you later."
"Ok. Bye." And he clicked off.
"That was one of the hardest things I have ever did."
"What about getting over your fear of clowns?" Maddie said.
"Ok, second, but still I feel like I crushed him or something."
"Well he did sound like it but he did sound better after you said you go to that movie."
"We are going to that movie."
"Don't forget about me, he invited me to." Nick stated.
"How can we ever forget about you Nick." Maddie teased.
"I dunno. What do you guys want to do?"
"Hey I invited her over she's mine."
"Well I'm older so boom."
"Nobody cares if your older or whatever."
"Girls do. They love older guys."
"Yeah sure they do. Just like thy love your imaginary abs."
"I have abs. A full six-pack."
"Sure you do."
"Look." Then he lifts up his shirt and to my surprise he actually has abs.
"Ok can you please put your shirt down. Nobody wants to see them."
"I bet Avery does. Right Avery?"
And he was right they were nice abs. To be honest nick wasn't bad looking. He was actually cute and kind of down to earth unlike some other guys.
I must of been zoned out for a while or something cause Maddie and Nick were both saying my name.
"Sorry I was just thinking." I said.
"About what?" They both asked at the same time.
"Nothing. So what are we doing. I still don't have to be home in like 4 hours."
"We could see a movie." Nick proposed.
"That sounds good. Why about it Avery?"
"Yeah sure, what are we seeing."
"How about that Lego movie. It's had Morgan Freeman in it and it seems pretty cool."
"Ok let's go!"
