"Ok. I'll take your menus."
"Thanks." I say to the waitress then she walks away to go get our drinks.
"This is so nice, Lance. Your sure you can afford it?"
"Yes. I'm positive. I would do anything for you." he's says and I know I start to blush.
I turn my head so he doesn't see me but when I do I see two people walk in. And I was positive I was seeing this right. Ivan and Maddie. How? What? When? Why? Where? I need to know. I think Maddie sees me cause she turns in the other direction and goes to the opposite side of of the restaurant.
"Are you ok?" Lance asks with concern written all over his face.
"Yeah I'm fine I'm have to go to the bathroom."
"Ok." he says and I walk off. I pull out my phone and type as fast as I could:
MADDIE!
I know your going to be mad but you have to listen to what I have to say. I promise I'll explain after your date.
I read that and look up at the mirror. Is this real or is there some logic to what's going on. I hope there's some good logic cause I can't handle anymore of the 'real' part.

I tried to concentrate on the date and enjoy it but I kept going back to why Maddie would be here with him. I don't think she would do it to hurt me and Ivan doesn't seem like he would either. I'm just wondering why she would...
"Are you ok, Avery?" Lance asked with concern all over his face.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Why?" I ask.
"Because you keep looking past me and you look distant." I can't believe he could look at me and see that.
"I'm fine. Promise."
"Are you sure? We could go home or to a movie or something."
"Lance, you've just spent all this money on me, I can't let you waste it."
"It's not wasting it if it's for you." I stopped and started at him for a moment. Here sitting I'm front of me is a handsome, sweet guy who loves me. I love him. We should have fun and I shouldn't be worrying about something stupid like Ivan and Maddie.
"You know what...." I say with a big smile.
"What?" he asked with big eyes.
"Let's go have some fun." and we left the restaurant.

Sorry for the short chapter. My twin, Taylor, gave me a great idea but I tweaked it a little to fit in a little better but it was an awesome idea 😄 ( by the way you should read her books they're amazing!
