Chapter twelve

Lance's perspective

Thorough out the whole movie Avery kept putting her head into my neck. Again I know it was bad of me to put in Scream but it did bring is closer. I did feel bad for her cause I did know it scared her really bad. I'm sorry Avery, there just a little bit left, just turn to me if you scared.

Avery's perspective

"Lance, please turn it off!"

"Ok, I will."

It was only like 15 minutes left but I couldn't take anymore of it.

"Thank you."

"So what do you want to do?"

"Stay away from horrors."

"Well you know it's fake."

"But what if it happens? There are some phycos out there."

"I would protect you."

"You would?"

"Yeah of course."

I think that was his way of flirting because I could see right through him. Look him up and down and tell what mood he was in. I knew him that good.

I decided to go for it.

"Lance, do you...?"

And it was lost to the loud ring of my phone. It was Ivan. For God's sake can't they leave me alone for once.

"Yes Ivan?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to see the movie tonight. I have something else to do tomorrow."

"I'm kind of busy right now, maybe some other time."

"Yes sure, ill text you. Bye."

"Bye."

And he hung up.

"Sorry."

"It's ok, what were you saying?"

Maybe it was a sign not to ask. Maybe I was being rediculous. Am I just being boy crazy and desperate? No, I refuse to be boy crazy. I don't want to be one of those girls.

"Nothing. Nevermine."

"Oh, and if you want to spend the night tonight you can."

"Lance, we are like 15. I don't think that would work."

"Come on, we can pretend like we are 6 again. We could make the fort in the basement."

"I'll stay just no fort. Let me go get my pajamas and pillow and whatever else real quick."

"Ok. I'll get mine."

Lance's perspective

"Lance, please turn it off!"

"Ok, I will."

"Thank you."

"So what do you want to do?"

"Stay away from horrors."

I know that was flirting but I couldn't help it. I just needed to say that. I think she knew I was flirting with her though.

"You would?"

"Yeah of course."

"Lance, do you...?"

Then she was cut off by someone. Ivan. Why would he call now? She was talking about how she already had plans.

"Sorry." she said.

"It's ok, what were you saying?"

I think she was going to ask me if I liked her. I do but can I tell her?

"Nothing. Nevermine."

I think that was good she didn't ask.

"Oh, and if you want to spend the night you can."

"Lance, we are like 15. I don't think that would work."
