To get to Rock Shore we have to cross Jake's tribal lands in the forest.
The forest is a beautiful place to hang out in our kingdom. We call it Rock Shore because it is a waterfall cliff that down below are a bunch of rigid rocks. The waterfall also leads into the ocean and across the cliff there is sand (or what you mortals call a beach). Though today I wasn't to antsy to get there. Just thinking about talking of what happened last night gave me the chills.
Finally we arrived. For awhile nobody said anything, just stood there and looked at each other. Jake broke the silence, close to the edge looking out across the ocean.
"Courtney has something to say about what happened last night", he said not looking at any of us.
"What happened last night and Courtney please don't ignore it. I'm your best friend you can tell me anything", Lizzy said her voice quiet now. She was looking at me, everybody was looking at me now. I have to tell them one way or another so I started from the beginning.
"Last night, me and my aunt were fighting over what happened at the council meeting that day. She told if the Warlocks sided with Delphi, the vampires, their allies then we lose, I die, end of story. They haven't decided yet but I was getting angrier then I have ever been. I was giving up, getting tired of it all. So I left before I exploded and went into the forest to cool down. While I was walking though.....", I trailed off wondering if I should tell them what I was really thinking.
"Though what? Do not stop there, tell us the rest", Lizzy said get antsy really fast.
I looked at John and Jake but what I got from both of them where closed off expressions. I started pacing in the air, my wings beating nervously. I didn't tell Jake this part last night and before I could back out I blurted it out.
"I was wondering what it would be like if I just died", I said it really fast not looking at any of them.
"What!", Lizzy exploded.
I finally looked at them and what I saw was a surprised face from John and two angry and shocked looks from Lizzy and Jake.
"Kill myself more precisely", I quietly said looking down.
"You....you....you can't just kill yourself", Lizzy said
"Just because we need one more vote doesn't mean they will side against us. it definitely doesn't mean to go out and kill yourself"!
"Lizzy's got a point to this one Court", John said using my nickname, while taking a step closer to me.
"There are people who love you and will fight for you. Don't you forget that", he said finally coming up to me and giving me a big hug.
"Why are you guys doing this, protecting need? You don't have to", I said quietly, pushing away from John.
Before anybody could respond Lizzy stormed over to where I was and slapped me so hard. I fell to the ground in a heap, cradling my cheek, looking at her with surprise. My sight was fuzzy when I stood up. At least I could make out the surprise looks from Jake and John.
"Don't you ever ask that again or say that, ever", and with that she was gone. I turned around facing the edge of the waterfall.
"Umm...", I cleared my throat not having the ability to speak right now.
"Court are you alright", John was walking over towards me again. I couldn't speak to them let alone look at them.
Before John was halfway towards me, I jumped off the cliff, falling like a bullet towards the rocks. I waited, hearing my name being yelled from Jake and John above me, them running to the edge of the cliff. Down and down I kept falling. Right as I am about to hit the rocks, I flapped my wings once, good and hard. I shot back up towards the guys. My wings beating so hard.
Instead of landing where the guys were I kept flying up, until I could see the entire kingdom. I then flew towards it, determined to find Lizzy and figure out what her problem was back there. Deep down I knew what it was, I just want to hear it from her and I will, trust me.
I flew all the way to Night lore county (aka vampire town). When I got there I landed right in the center of it. I walked to my right where there was a dark alley. I heard it and hear me out hearing the slurping of blood from an animal is the most disgusting thing ever. I still went towards it.
"Lizzy", I called out quietly. "I know you are in there please come out".
I waited and after a couple of seconds Lizzy came out, fangs extended, eyes red, and blood all over her shirt and mouth. I ignored it all and looked right into her eyes and stepped closer.
"I won't lie, what I said was true. That's what I thought last night but I would never do it", I said stopping just in front of her. She gave me a long look then looked down at the ground.
"I am so sorry Courtney. I didn't mean to hit you but I don't know what I would do if you killed yourself", she said softly. She looked back up at me her eyes back to normal and fangs back up. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tight hoping that will make her believe what I said. She hugged right back, being careful of her strength.
"So know that we sort of solved that can we get out of here, it gives me the creeps", I looked around hoping nobody will notice me. I'm not really welcomed by vampires you can say. Lizzy just started laughing.
"Come on then", Lizzy said walking towards the entrance to get to the town center. I followed not really wanting to laugh with her while I am here.
"You know Courtney, you are the only one that can make me laugh after an argument", she said while still laugh. I shook my head, a grin showing on my face.
Lizzy picked me up and and we flew out of there with that speed of hers.
"Where do you want to go!", she yelled over the wind.
"Leanna's lab", I yelled right back. Another person I needed to talk to. With that Lizzy started running towards that direction. Maybe Leanna has the answers that I need.
