Gerard was fully aware his plan was a little messed up. There was nothing extremely illegally about it, which albeit boring meant he wouldn't get in too much trouble, that is, if his object of foully decided to try and report him. Breaking the rules was just fun. Granted, it was sometimes just what he needed to do to survive. This wasn't a life or death situation, but his crippling anxiety would beg to differ at one in the morning when he couldn't sleep.
Leaned up against a crumbling brick wall, his eyes stayed trained on the men working in the lot across from him. Most of them were older, but there was one who looked to be around his age. Stringy, dark hair hung at his neck and his facial features were sharp. The man was built well in stature, and Gerard almost felt heat bubble in his lower stomach when he saw tattoos littered on the man's skin. What really had Gerard's head spin was when he saw the man pull a packet of Camels from his back pocket, remove a single stick, and ignite.
He smirked after realizing he'd found his victim. He observed the man for a while longer, looking for peculiar habits or red flags that would alert Gerard to not approach him. After finding none, he pulled himself together. Pushing himself off the wall and striding over, Gerard felt the familiar blanket of his persona stretch around his mind, and suddenly it was like he was in a new skin. Confidence fizzled and boiled in him, guiding him right up to the attractive construction worker, who had noticed Gerard approaching and focused his gaze on the way the stranger's hips swayed.
"Hey, babe." Gerard said, coming to a stop only a foot in front of the man. "What're you boys building?"
The man shifted on his feet, taking a step back from Gerard and pulling a wary face. "Uh.. it's going to be a homeless shelter. Didn't you hear?"
Ignoring the query, Gerard instead trailed his eyes over the man's figure, allowing his artist eyes to pick out and file away every detail he could. The action didn't go unnoticed, and the man, in response, found himself mimicking Gerard's actions and admiring the slender form of the stranger. He was enthralled by the unique beauty and grace the man before him obtained, but was stuck between allowing his attraction to expand, and obeying his instinctual defenses.
"Got a name, sweetheart?" Gerard questioned, forcing his sweet, thick Jersey accent to poke through in hopes of lulling the man. He slowly dragged his fingers from where they hung at his sides to trace the dip in between where his torso and hips met.
"Bert."
Gerard hummed in response, and stepped closer. His hands relocated to graze Bert's shoulder, and caress down his long arm. Bert didn't bother moving away. Instead, he found himself leaning into the red-head's touch, falling victim to a siren's call.
"I like these tattoos..." Gerard trailed off, lowering his voice and attempting to sound seductive. "I like the way they wrap around your muscles." Bert shivered faintly, a sign to Gerard he was getting flustered. His chest was rising and falling quickly, and he couldn't hold eye contact. A sly smile spread over Gerard's lips as he realized his plan was working. Seduction was his favorite game, and he won every time.
"Is there something I can help you with?" Bert, as flushed as he was, was also very passionate about his job, and didn't wish to lose it. Glancing away from the pretty stranger, he spotted his boss some distance away watching the pair intently. Bert couldn't read his facial expression due to the large sunglasses that were perched on the man's nose, but judging by his tense posture, he wasn't pleased. "I need to get back to work."
"That's a shame.." Gerard didn't falter at the man's attempt to escape. He wanted something, and he was going to get it. "I'd like to see what tattoos are under here..."
