Eternal

You and Justin are sitting at a park bench.

"Look at them." You say, looking at an elderly couple sitting on a bench a little way from you.

"That's us in a couple decades." Justin replies.

You lean your head on his shoulder. His arm is around you, pulling you closer. His body is warm against yours. You love being this close to him. It makes you feel safe and cozy.

"True." You reply happily.

The lady is leaning against her husband, and they're talking about something. They're both smiling, and it's clear that they're in love.

"Do you think love is eternal?" He asks, and you glance at him. His brown eyes meet yours, and you smile.

"Yeah. I think so. Well, if anything, theirs is. And so is ours." You tell him, he smiles.

You look back to the couple, and the man takes his wife's hand in his. It's absolutely beautiful, and you make an aww sound.

Justin kisses your head before resting his cheek against you. "Is it weird that I'm having fun just by being here with you?" He asks after a moment.

"No. I'm having fun, too." You reply.

"Good. I thought I was crazy."

"That doesn't disprove it. Maybe we're both crazy." You reply, trying not to laugh.

"I considered saying 'crazy in love', but I'd rather not have you punch me in the arm." He jokes, making you giggle.

"Wise decision."

After a while, the elderly couple get up before walking down the path toward you. They're holding hands, and you really wish Justin and you are going to be like them.

When they come near you, they smile. You smile back, the small gesture of kindness making you incredibly happy. It's strange how just sitting with someone can be fun, or how something as small as a warm smile can make you happy.

They pass by, and you glance to Justin. Your eyes meet, you gently press your lips to his. Closing your eyes, you lean into him. He smiles, and you giggle softly.

"Today is a good day." You whisper against him.

He puts a hand on your face before replying. "Everyday is good when I'm with you."
