Tia POV
I woke up and Reggie's mom cooked us breakfast.
We all sat at the kitchen. in silence.
Reggie wouldn't look at his mom. and his mom kept her eyes on her plate.
Did something happen?
Did I miss something?
"are you guys okay?" I asked.
They both hesitated to answer.
Then Reggie finally said something.
"I know I told you that you could stay here, but my mom could barely take care of the two of us."
"what are you trying to say? I can't stay here?"
a tear streamed down from my cheek.
"yes. I'm sorry. we just don't have the money." she started to cry too. "were gonna take care of the baby."
I couldn't listen anymore.
why is it that people always leave you out in the cold.
I've learned that one major change can alter your whole world.
My mother's death sure did.
Now I'm left pregnant with nowhere left to go.
Well....Maybe one.
