The scientist's eyes fall on the tall male standing beside us,practically towering his figure over us.I have never seen Zero's eyes burning of anger before.His big doe eyes was always soft and pure to look at but they now seem animal like.

"I told you before.If you really want to do this,do without me finding out.Or I'll kill you with my own hands."

Zero furiously steps forward, causing the mad man to back away.The scientist's once sly eyes now seems to be mixed with fright.Without realizing,he slowly takes steps backward.Within seconds he seemed to be dissapearing already.

Zero steps out to follow him,his face telling more than enough that he would kill the man if caught in his hands.But I hold out his arm, causing him to stop and look at me.

"Leave him.Calm down."

"You just don't kno---"

"Its okay.I thought you would kill him right there and I was worried.You can get hurt as well as he."

Zero throws me a defeated look and rolls his eyes in disbelief.But his eyes seems a lot calmer than before,relieving me.

"Are you being worried about him getting hurt?!You were just getting kidnapped!"

I smile at him and release his arm from my grip.

"Its okay.I am saved you know.It would had been complicated if you pick a fight with the quarter's researcher."

"Still you don't deserve to be treated like this too!"

Me too?

"There's some history between you and him right?Atleast thats what I think" my voice trails lower.He leaves a sigh and glances at me but then again to the silver walls.

"He's a renowned scientist but he's actually mental.The other people doesn't know it,even my team members.Only I know since I've experienced it."

"W-what did you experience?"

"He selects some definite operatives for his research and makes them his guniepig.He carries experiments on them even though it can be harmful.But it's also true I am somehow thankful to him in another way."

I throw him a curious look which he returns a small smile.

"I still remember him being the one who first helped me to discover my speciality in strength.I was still a trainee back then when Nine first introduced me to him.The scientist honestly threw me the smile which he threw at you but I was too young to figure out the abnormality behind it.But one day he flattered me in bringing me outside PHASE.Trainees could never go out back then.So I was excited and fell into his trap."

"What happened then?"

"He took me to his laboratory and wanted me to submit myself to him.He forced me to do things but I refused.At one time,I got really angry and my mind became hazy and----" he stops,making me curious.Getting some air,he speaks again.

"My augmentations started.I lost my mind and started to fight him out of death."

I give him a worried look as his eyes display waves of memories made with bitter tastes.

"But he fled away and I was surprised since it was my first time feeling a different feeling around me.I was scared to death.But later as years went along I trained to control my strength.I am still lacking but I am much better now."

He must have gone through many things

I always thought Zero was cool but he actually worked hard to achieve this.This only made me curious about him more.
