Chapter 2

Boden's POV*

A couple of minutes later more fire engines and paramedics showed up.

Clarke: hey chief. Is everyone okay?
Me: i dont know.
Clarke: we'll get them. Lets go!

They all ran in the building. I stood there hoping someone would be alive.

Casey's POV*

I laid on the floor next to Herrmann and Mouch. I looked over and saw them passed out. I got on my hands and knees and started crawling. I felt someone under me. I looked down and saw Mills.

Me: Mills! MILLS! Wake up!

I shook him but he didnt wake. Just then i heard someone.

Clarke: FIRE DEPARTMENT CALL OUT!
Me: HEY! OVER HERE!!

Clarke came running over with a bunch of guys.

Clarke: lets get them out of here!

We were lead out of the building. Herrmann Mills and Mouch were sent straight to the hospital. I looked around for Gabby. I saw Chief. I ran up to him.

Chief: Casey!

He hugged me.

Me: was Gabby pulled out yet?
Chief: no not yet. Only you Herrmann Mills and Mouch.

Just then Severide Capp Newhouse Tony Gabby and Shay were all pulled out.

Me: we're missing cruz and Otis.
Clarke: where were they?
Me: roof!
Clarke: its too dangerous. Lets go check the too floor.

He ran in with his men. I ran up to Gabby on the stretcher. I grabbed her hand.

Me: its gonna be okay.
Chief: ill meet you at the hospital!
Me: okay

I sat in the ambulance with Gabby.

Me: dont leave me Gabby.. Please...

Once we got to the hospital i wasnt allowed to go with her. I was told to get a bed of my own because i was bleeding in my head. I laid down and immediately fell asleep.

Boden's POV*

I sat in the waiting room of the hospital. Erin Lindsay, Katie Jacobs, and Antonio Dawson came in.

Me: hey everyone.
Antonio: wheres Gabby?

I pointed to her room. He ran in.
Katie: what happened?
Me: we thought it was a rummage fire.. But it was more.. Squad 3 and Truck 81 went in to check for people. They found someone on the first floor. Dawson and Shay went in to get the person. Then the radios stopped working. No one was responding. I told the chief that filled in for me since i had just gotten married i said "kenny i dont like the looks of this" and then he started walking in and that was when everything exploded. I kept calling for them to report but no one answered. Finally another engine showed up and saved everyone.
Erin: can i see Kelly yet?
Me: not yet.

Erin started crying i hugged her to calm her down. Katie went into Gabby's room.

We sat there hoping someone would be okay. We waited for hours till we got word on someone. I was worried thinking almost all my men and women would be gone.. That thought scared me.
