Usually when you want to win over a girl, you buy her something pretty like a bracelet or take her out to a fancy restaurant. But not Mulder. He takes you back to your hotel room, and makes you turn on the tv while you order a pizza. Fine by me, I wouldn't have it any other way. Mulder and I cuddling on my bed, eating a delicious cheese pizza, and belly laughing at Seinfeld is the life I want and would never change. I already know that he's the one I will be with for the rest of my life. We're soulmates, I don't think we'll ever be apart.

"Scully," Mulder asks while stuffing another piece of pizza in his mouth.
"Yeah, Mulder?" I respond.
"Is it at all plausible that you'll be my girlfriend?" He smirks. This man is the death of me.
"100% plausible, although you know you didn't have to ask." I smirk back while blushing. God I love him.
"It's also 100% plausible that I think you're the most beautiful person I know and that I love you." He kissed my cheek. I was really blushing now.
"I love you too, Mulder. You're my 1 in 5 billion." I say, quoting something he said to me many years ago.

Mulder was the one blushing now, putting together what I had said. I'd finally verbally returned his love for me after all of these years in a way that only him and I understood. We were each other's 1 in 5 billion. Mulder gave me a goofy smile, then pulled me into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and returned the kiss. As we continued to kiss, it felt as if time had slowed down, and I didn't notice anything except for him. We broke apart, and I embraced him into a hug. I never wanted to let him or this moment go. Mulder returned the hug and gently pushed my hair behind my ears.

We sat there for awhile just listening to the TV and holding onto each other. Mulder's body was pressed up against mine, and I was staring into his expressive brown eyes. I squeezed him tightly and kissed the tip of his nose, and then got up to turn out the light and the TV.  I carefully climbed back into the bed and Mulder pulled me close to him again.
"Good night, Mulder." I whispered while smiling.
"Good night, Scully." He whispered back with a signature goofy grin and closed his eyes.

I should've easily been able to close my eyes, but I couldn't. I had so many things running through my head, and they wouldn't stop. I kept trying to keep my eyes closed and fall asleep, but the novelty of this moment wouldn't wear off. The excitement of being in a relationship with Mulder was keeping me up. I probably looked stupid opening and closing my eyes, so I eventually forced them shut. I heard Mulder stifle a laugh and force his head into the pillow to control his laughter. I started to giggle too, and then we were both shoving our faces into our pillows. After that, it was easy to fall asleep.

When I woke up the next morning, I saw Mulder staring at me. It took me a minute to register why he was here, but then everything came back to me.
"Scully you look adorable when you sleep." He said with a smile. I returned the smile and sat up in the bed.
"I would tell you the same, but your bed head is distracting me!" I teased him, and he faked a pout.
"I thought you liked my bed head, Scully. My whole existence has been shattered." He quipped back. He thought he was so funny, and he wasn't exactly lying to himself.
"Hey, Scully, can I tell you something?" Mulder's face got serious for a second.
"Sure, Mulder. Anything." I respond, a slight but concerned. What is he going to say?

"Do you remember when I got rescued from the Queen Anne?" I nodded. "Do you also remember what I said to you when you visited me in the hospital?" I nodded again. "None of what I said was the pain meds, Scully. I was completely sane when I told you I loved you. I loved you then, I love you now, and I'll continue to love you.". A little tear streamed down my cheek. Of course I remembered the first time he'd really told me he loved me. It was a big leap for him, and I just thought he was going crazy from the pain meds. It all seems so stupid now.
