"I love you,".

I couldn't get those three words out of my head. Mulder told me he loved me. Of course there was the fact that he was under a lot of prescription drugs from the hospital when he said it, but nevertheless he said it. Do I love him? I don't even know.

He's smart, handsome, and witty. How could a guy like him possibly be telling me that he loves me? Mulder is my constant in life, my best friend. I can't lose him, not now, not ever. I've spent more time with him than I have with any other person, besides my family of course.

I've worked with him for six years. Chasing monsters and aliens brings two people pretty close together. His crazy antics have almost gotten the both of us killed, but it's always been worth it in the end.

He's got those big brown puppy dog eyes, and floppy hair that covers his eyes. That goofy smile trips me up every time. He's so weird, but in the best possible way.

I wonder if he really has feelings for me, if it's not just the pain meds. I want to believe he does, but believing will only take me so far. I have to open myself up to the possibility of rejection, which happens quite frequently to me. Oh brother, I can already see where this will go. I will end up ruining our friendship because of how I feel. Because I'm in love with Fox Mulder.

I'm in love with Fox Mulder.
