Chapter 4

Icefrost crept out of camp that night to meet with Newtskip. She snuck up to the border as he padded down the rocky slope on the other side. They brushed pelts, putting loudly. Icefrost looked into Newtskip's eyes, love sparkled in them like a dozen stars in the sky. "Let's go hunting." Icefrost suggested, she followed him not far from the border, on DawnClan's side. A squirrel was snuggled up in a small nest in a lower branch of a tree. As Icefrost leaped for it, Newtskip leaped at the same time, and they crashed into each other. Icefrost was knocked backwards, with Newtskip landing on top of her. " Get off, you big fur-ball! " She teased, Newtskip's elbow poked her in the stomach as he got up. "Sorry." He said, Icefrost tried to stand, but Newtskip playfully pinned her down, his claws sheathed. Icefrost playfully batted his belly, and for a moment, they looked into each other's eyes. Newtskip moved his paws to the sides of her body, and they touched noses. Icefrost felt love warm inside her heart. \I am never going to be truly apart from Newtskip, no matter where we are.\

Icefrost woke up five days later. The morning sun shone with the brightness of early green-leaf. Newtskip and her enjoyed visiting each other almost every night, and no one had found out. The only other cats that knew were Pineleaf and StarClan. She got to her paws, strangely feeling like a small stone in her belly was weighing her down. She managed to get to her paws and padded outside. Icefrost glanced around the camp, and caught sight of Spiderstar padding up to her. "I want you to go over to the Twolegplace and recruit some loners or kittypet's roaming around there. Is that okay with you?" Icefrost nodded and grabbed a squirrel from the fresh-kill pile, ate it, got some traveling herbs from Sandfall, and headed out of camp.
