Chapter 5

Icefrost padded along the edge of the Twolegplace. She spotted a she-cat and a tom walking side-by-side across a Thunderpath many fox-lengths ahead. They safely made it into a Twoleg nest on the other side. Icefrost didn't waste another heartbeat. She dashed onto the Thunderpath, aware of how many monsters were coming her way. She dashed along the side of the hard black surface, in the dew-covered grass. She padded up to the Twoleg nest where the two lovebirds had gone into. Icefrost slipped through a weird flappy thing in the entrance. She looked around, the place was odd. Flowers were everywhere, held in place by some Twoleg structure. The den was lined with different objects, and several different parts of the den had stuff in it that Icefrost didn't understand. She found the two cats in the part to her left, eating kittypet food that looked like dried mouse-droppings. As Icefrost approuched, the she-cat's head shot up, her eyes sparkling with curiousity. The kittypet\loner nudged the tom, who looked at Icefrost. "Hello." Icefrost greeted them, " My name is Icefrost, I come in peace. " the tom dipped his head. "My name's Apophis. And this is my love, Cattail." Cattail purred loudly, her tail twitching with greeting. "What brings you here?" She asked energetically, "I come fro one of the two Clans that live nearby. DuskClan. We need more cats if we are to survive. I was wondering if you'd like to join." Cattail jumped up and down, " Yay! I love adventures! Come on, Apophis! We can't say no! " Apophis giggled at her. "Of course we'll go." He told Icefrost, "And we know a cat who'd be honored to join you. Follow us." Icefrost followed them outside and down an ally next to the Twoleg nest. They came up to a Twoleg crow-food thing, a she-cat sat upon it. "Hello Cattail, Apophis." The golden-pawed cat examined Icefrost, "Who are you?" Icefrost told her why she was there, who she was, and where she came from. " I'd be glad to join your Clan. " The cat purred, "Any friend of Cattail and Apophis, is a friend of mine. I'm Myra by the way, but my nickname is Golden Paws." she jumped down, " Lead the way, Icefrost. "
