~ Albert's POV ~

Jake slowly broke the kiss. I stared at him for a long moment, a silence lingering between us. His eyes dilated in shock, realizing what he did. He let go in a panic. "I-I... I have to go." He said quickly, getting up. "Wait-" i began, but Jake had already ran out. I swung myself from the booth and ran after him. I ran into the parking lot, breathing heavily. But he was already gone. I saw his car driving off. I softly pressed my fingers to my lips, still in shock. All this time he liked me.. and I never saw. The signs were so obvious, but I was so wrapped up in Lana. But now.. I don't have Lana... I got into my car and tried to call him. No answer. I tried again. No answer. "Dammit!" I cursed, slamming my fist to the steering wheel. I sighed, brushing my fingers through my hair in defeat. I drove home, nothing else I could do.

~ Jake's POV ~

Jake you idiot. You idiot. What are you thinking?! He just got dumped and you kiss him. How could you let your feelings get in the way of your friendship. He probably hates you you moron. My eyes clouded with tears as I pulled up into my driveway, my head spinning with his thoughts. Tears rolled down my face and I turned my phone on silent, ignoring Albert's calls, even though I so badly wanted to hear his voice. I walked inside and sat on the couch. I held my head and silently cried. I muttered to myself "He probably hates me... I ruined our friendship..."
