~Albert's POV~

I decided it would be best to get coffee. I didn't want anything romantic, but just friends I guess. I sat at the table outside and waited. After a few minutes Lana came over and sat down across from me at the small metal table. There was a long silence. "Albert I'm really sorry about the other night" Lana said eventually. I wasn't over it still, but I decided to be the nice guy here. "It's alright, could've happened to any of us" I Said. We ordered our drinks and talked back and forth. I tried to make it as casual as possible, but we were both tense. She tapped her nails on the table. "I just hope we can be friends. I'm not really looking for getting back together" I Said gently. She sipped her coffee. "I figured as much" she said. "If you wanted to get together so soon after breaking up?" I asked. She exhaled softly, brushing her hair out of her face. "At that time I wasn't in a good place mentally. I just wasn't sure. Seeing you the other night so happy made me miss you so much." She said.
I deeply inhaled and exhaled softly. "Lana.. I understand how you feel" I Said gently. She looked at me. "I'm sorry I don't want a relationship like that. I hope we can be friends still" I Said. She nodded and got up. She put ten dollars on the table for the bill and walked away with that. She seemed upset. But I tried to make a mend. I sighed softly and put five dollars as a tip before leaving. What was I suppose to do now? I tried to be nice but I can't read her, was she mad?
