~ Albert's POV ~
I drove to the restaurant Jake wanted to meet at, he said it was one of his favorites. I mean, whatever makes him happy, makes me happy. I parked in the parking lot and got out of my car. I stood at the curb looking for him. I saw him walking over. I smiled and waved. He pulled me into a warm hug, wrapping his arms around me. "Hey Albert! How are you holding up?" He asked, genuinely caring for me. I smiled. "I'm the best I've been in a few days." I Said. He smiled back, his dark chocolate colored eyes glinting happily. He walked inside and ordered a table for two. The waitress seated us at a booth in the corner. I rested my elbows on the table as Jake and I talked back and forth. The waitress handed us our menus. "I'll be over shortly." She said, walking away. I opened it up, reading off the options. "Hey... Al?" Jake asked. I looked up at him. He tapped his fingers on the table nervously. "What's up?" I asked, lowering the menu. He inhaled and exhaled. "I'm just glad to help you recover after this." He said. I smiled, feeling my cheeks heat up with blush. "Yeah, I appreciate it." I Said. "I-I just.. wanna make you happy. You mean a lot to me. N-Not like t-that!! I-I mean.. it c-could be- N-NO!! I-I" Jake fumbled with his words, his face frazzled and flustered. I chuckled. "Jakey Jake calm down." I Said. He took a deep breath. "Albert.. can I.. do something insane you might hate me for?" He said. "I could never hate you." I Said. He grabbed the collar of my shirt and yanked me over he table. My eyes widened in surprise. Before I had time to blink I was melting into a kiss with the man across the booth from me.
