Oof sorry for lack of updates I've been feeling uninspired to write but here we go!

~Albert's POV~

After the police arrived they all took us down to the police station, including this mystery man. I went to the bathroom in the station and washed up the new bruise I had. I then went back to the lobby where they had Lana, Jake and I wait. I sat next to Jake, Lana on the other side of him. Jake put a gentle hand on my cheek. Judged by how his lip was curled and eye brow furrowed, he wasn't happy about the bruise.

"And how are you all related?" The woman at the counter asked, holding a vanilla colored folder. She looked roughly 40. "I'm his boyfriend, and she's his ex girlfriend" Jake said. The woman stared at him like he was insane then slowly nodded and wrote into the folder.

After about an hour of waiting the officer that came and arrested the attacker walked over to us. He motioned for us to follow. We all got up and followed him to another room. He seated us. He pulled up a chair and sat in front of us all. "So, we looked through his phone and this is indeed the man who was sending you threats over texting, we are still looking for his folder for his identity but he is locked up safe for now" he said. I exhaled with relief. "Why did he do all this?" Lana asked. That was the question. "He wouldn't talk, we'll try in the morning" he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "We'll call you all as soon as possible when we get details" he added. I nodded. "Have a good day" he said and walked out. After conversing among each other we all headed out. "What do you think this was all about?" Jake asked. I couldn't even wrap my head around it, and I was the one who got hurt! So I shrugged. Lana was quiet and so were we the rest of the drive home. I watched Jake drive in silence as I looked out the window, the morning rain aggressively splashing on the window shield. If it had to rain in Florida, why today of all days?
