A/N: Chapter seven is here. Hope u like it!
*Millie's POV
My arms are interlocked with Maddie's and Lilia's as we walk to the beach. The three of us are barefoot (we didn't bother to bring our flip flops), the grass isn't burning because it's evening.
I'm wearing a simple white sun dress over my bikini, Lilia wears jeans shorts over her black stripped swimsuit and Maddie is wearing her red and white polka dot bikini without clothes covering it. She also carries out bag with three towels and some snacks, typical Maddie.
"Mills, you're gonna love it. I've always loved beach nights, it's the best part of the camp." Lilia says, smiling and almost daydreaming. Maddie and I laugh at the girl staring at the sky.
"Yeah, it sure is. We sit around the campfire and sometimes Finn brings his guitar, we sing and dance and eat s'mores." Maddie excitedly says.
I smile, turning a slight shade of pink at the thought of Finn singing. His voice is already so beautiful when he talks, and– I caught myself daydreaming about Finn again.
Why does he have to appear in every thought I have?
I shake my head and keep walking with my girl friends. Once we get to the beach, the boys are already there. And the scene is hilarious. Gaten is in the sand, eating all the raw marshmallows with chocolate pudding. Caleb is trying to light up the campfire, but he keeps burning himself. Noah is making sandcastles, looking just like a little kid.
And Finn is sitting in the sand, his feet in the water, as he looks into the horizon. I can only see the back of his white shirt and his curly hair moving with the wind, and damn, he does look good even like that.
Caleb looks at us and smiles, standing up.
"Finally! Why girls have to take so long?" He says and all the other boys notice our presence.
"Shut it, you don't get us. After all, we want to look pretty, clearly what you can't even try." Maddie says as she takes her towel and goes play in the sand with Noah. Kids.
"Oh my god!" Lilia gasps out loud "I can take a lot of cute photos with this light!" She squeals as she runs to the shore to take some photos. Lilia has a lot of followers on Instagram, she is the it girl and everyone loves her. To be honest, who couldn't like her?
I laugh when she makes poses, grabbing Caleb's hand and forcing him to be her photographer. I look in front of me and Finn is at the same place, but he turned to face me and is staring again. The butterflies show up in my stomach. He smiles and I walk to him.
"Millster." He greets me as I sit beside him, but not so close. I look at him with brows furrowed. He chuckles.
"Gaten said it would be your nickname. He puts nicknames on everyone." He explains as I nod slowly and turn my face to the water.
"What's yours?" I ask after a couple of minutes of silence.
"Huh?"
"Your nickname."
He laughs and looks at me, pulling his hand out for me to shake it.
"Finnlard. Pleased to meet you."
We both laugh as we shake hands, and at the touch, those insects return to my stomach. We stop laughing, his hand still holding mine. He doesn't let go, and we stare at each other with a glimpse of laughter still in our eyes. I take my hand back awkwardly and lay it on the sand.
