The Moment I Knew || GD

part fourteen

I wake up and head downstairs for some breakfast. I see my dad sitting in the tan painted living room, eating a waffle while watching TV.

I sit beside him with my Frosted Flakes covered in sugar.

"So I was looking at those birth websites since it's been a while since I've had a child and I read eating a lot of sugar is not good!" My mom says as she walks in the living room. "It could lead to a miscarrage, Maddy!"

"Mom! Calm down, I'm being healthy. I only ate six candy bars yesterday! You should be proud."

"Madelina Claire!" She yells out.

"Jokes!" I say as I laugh. "I've actually been looking myself and saw eating about two or three servings a day of something healthy foods, is enough. So therefore if I wanted to eat a hotdog, I can."

"You've ate enough hot dogs, Maddy!" My dad says as he laughs and walks to the kitchen.

"Hush!" I laugh as I throw a pillow from the couch at him.

"So how are things with Grayson?" My mom asks.

"Lord! Don't get me started."

"Okay. How was the dance last night.  I'm assuming it was fun since you missed curfew."

"Well, the entire world knows I'm pregnant but oh yeah, Grayson decided to hold my hand so now they think we are also dating! "
"This is why I told you to not see that boy again!" My dad yells out.

"David! Calm down!" My mom says to my dad. "I can see where he's coming from. Maddy, you have to understand he has this huge reputation and this could easily ruin it. If they found out he did a so call one night stand all this fame he has, could easily turn into hate. Do you want the dad of your child to be hated by millions?"

"He's hated by one!" My dad tells me.

I don't reply. What if something gets out. A rumor. I've been thinking this entire time about me but this can ruin his career.

I head back to my room and call my doctor.

I ask her if I can schedule an appointment with her today as soon as possible. 

She says she could take me in an hour as long as it's an emergency.

I head out by myself, as I get a call from Grayson saying he's heading back to California for a few months for business.

I tell him I'm at the doctor so he heads over to the doctor to tell me and the baby bye.

As the doctor calls me she asks if Grayson was the dad.

"Ah- yes! He's going back to California later today so it's a scary moment."

"My daughter is a big fan of him! I told her I had got you a few months back and she flipped.  She says as soon as the baby is born, she wants to see it." The OB/GYN says as she smiles. "I told her only family is allowed in the room,  so that might give you some privacy."

I laugh and smile.

"Aw! I pictured me getting so much hate. I guess it's not to me- yet!"

"Well, you do know when this baby comes, hundreds of people will be wanting to come in the hospital- not just my daughter!

"Are you serious?" I panic.

"Woah! Calm down! They can't get in. Fun fact- I had an instagram model having a baby, I didn't know her very well, I was just the first to catch her in labor but she had hundreds of fans trying to come in. The police had to come to make all the fans leave so ambulances could come in!"

"Wow!"

"Alright, everything looks good execpt for one thing." She says as she feels on my belly.

"I didn't feel it kick that often, it may be a problem but nothing major to worry about right now, it's still not that big." She says as she opens the door leading me into a room full of moms and kids.

I walk out the door and call Grayson to tell him what happened.

He didn't answer so I assumed he was already on the plane.

On the way home, all I could think about was how this could impact Grayson. Would he feel so bad from all the hatred he would recieve from getting me pregnant.

I decided to do something.  Something that would help him.
