"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO FUCK EVERYTHING UP, DAVID!" I wake up to hear my mom screaming at my dad as if she was right outside my room.
"What is going on!" I ask as I leave Grayson and head to my parents room.
"Your dad decided to buy you and Grayson an apartment!" My mom tells me as she places her hands on her hips.
You could see the bags under her eyes as if she hasn't slept in years.
"You did what?" I ask my dad.
"Woah! I heard my name!" Grayson says as he walks through the door.
"What the hell?" My dad whispers. "That doesn't matter. I rented you and Grayson an apartment. It's downtown!"
"Dad! Me and Grayson are not looking to move in with each other yet!"
"Yet?" Grayson whispers to me.
I shake my head back to reality. Neither my mom or dad know about the miscarriage.
Grayson knew not to say anything about it to them but I was still scared he would.
"Hey! It's almost ten. I have to catch a flight back to Cali at eleven." He adds as he gives me a side hug and walks off.
I walk out of my parents room, following Grayson into my room.
"What does yet mean?" He asks as he throws his black merch hoodie on along with Adidas joggers.
"Nothing- it means nothing!" I tell him as I cuddle into a small ball on my bed.
"Bet!" Grayson adds. "Anyway, I got to go! Stay safe please!" He finishes as he kisses the top of my head.
A few hours pasts. I look on Twitter to find out #graysondolanexpecting trending.
I immediately text Grayson along with a screenshot of the hashtag.
He never responded.
Later that night I recieved a notification Grayson tweeted:
"Guys, me and my girlfriend were expecting but it didn't work out well for us. Please don't worry about it, we have it settled."
I was shookend by the word girlfriend. Is this what we are?
