The Moment I Knew || GD

part 22

I turn over, facing the closed windows covered by the blackish-gray curtain.

"Cam!" I whisper as I shake Cameron from her sleep.
I turn around to look for my mom. I imagined she'd gone to work, seeing she works 24/7.

"Yeah?" Cameron says as she begins to sit up and rub her sleepy eyes.

"Call the doctor, please!" I tell her as I grasp the rough white blanket I've been in for almost eight hours. "I'm not feeling the best!"

Minutes later, the doctor arrives.
It was a new doctor. His dirty blonde hair waved back and forth from the air conditioner. His light blue eyes looked at me as he places his hand on my stomach.

His facial structure reminded me of Grayson- his sharp jawline felt as if he could cut a diamond- just like Grayson's.

"Cam!- CAM!" I call as I begin to panic.

I remember Grayson was on his way but reality immediately hit me. What if Grayson won't be here for his sons birth.

"What?" Cam asks as she quickly runs to me.
"Where is Grayson? I need Grayson- now!"

"Hey! Calm down!" The young doctor interrupts as he lays me back down on my bed.

I begin to calm down as I hear the doctor begin to talk.

"Grayson? Assuming the other friend?"

I turn and stare into his eyes.

"The father." I tell him with an atrocious stare.

"Oh! I'm sorry!" He finishes as he continues to remove his gloves. "Anyway, everything is the same. Still a couple hours until we can actually do anything. Try checking up on the father, it would help you with your stress, Miss. Madelina." He adds as he picks up his small black clipboard and walks out.

I lay down as I stare onto the ceiling. 

"Call Grayson!" I tell Cam.

"Mad- I've already called, he's not picking up."

"Cameron Dolan-- then call the airplane phones and get the god damn pilot." I add as I hold my stomach in pain.

I close my eyes as I hear a familiar voice.

"Maddy?" The voice says.

I turn to the door, in shock.

"GRAYSON!" I scream as I try to sit up.

"No! Stay."  He says as he gently pushes me back down. He presses his lips against mine. "I missed you!" He adds as he reveals his hands from his back along with a box of Reeces chocolate. 

"You, Grayson Dolan- is the best." I say as I open the candy.

"I didn't know we were going to be here,  Maddy!" says Grayson as he lays in the bed beside me.

"--me neither." I repsond.

"Is this the mystery father?" The pediatrician from the beginning of the birth ask from the door.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't know you'd be here!" I tell her as we hug.

"My husband just came in here a few minutes ago and told me about you. I just had to come!"

"I appreciate it!" I tell her.

"Just be ready, Madelina. It's coming and it will change, but be the best change you'll ever have!  " She says with a smile
