"I really don't want to talk to you at this moment but your entire family has come so why not!" I tell him as I sit up.
"Well, I brought some mac and cheese just in case you said no! I know its your favorite!" Grayson says as he passes me a small plastic bowl with macaroni half way filled.
"You have three minutes!" I tell him as I feel Grayson sit beside me.
"This is going to be a BIG change, but, we will get through it." He says as he grabs my cold hand, sitting in between him and I.
Grayson looks at me and smiles. I try to not look back at him but my eyes move to him without thinking.
"I'm happy for you- for us!" He adds
"Wait! What does us mean?" I say as I sit up straight and look at him with a serious look.
"Well I thought since you're pregnant with MY baby, we were automatically dating!"
"We aren't dating, Grayson. I do not trust you! Last time we dated, it didn't end well. You cheated, you slept with her - you ruined a friendship, Grayson."
Grayson unlocks my hand and pauses.
"FUCK ME, SMITH!" He says as he stands up in anger. " YOU REALLY THINK I WANTED TO CHEAT ON YOU! YOU REALLY THINK I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU! DAMMIT MADELINA, I LOVE YOU, OKAY? I REALLY DO!"
I freeze in shock. I have tears feeling my eyes.
"It's been three minutes. You can leave now!" I say as I turn over and hold my tears back before Grayson leaves.
I turn to see if Grayson left, he did. I turn over and burst into tears. I grasp my pillow and scream.
I look out the window and see Grayson, just Grayson, running to his house.
I stand toward the window.
"GRAYSON!" I yell as I place my hand on the cold window, feeling my tears roll down my face.
