School day
Bailey and I haven't talked since she came over to my house. I saw her walking my direction during home room.
"So are you and Lucas a thing?" She said and plopped in front of my desk.
"Maybe. Why do you care?" I said with an attitude.
"Chill. What's your problem?"
"Nothing."
"Well you, me, and Mikey should hang out soon!"
"You mean you and Mikey?" I muttered.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing."

Later at school
There was a football (soccer) game after school so I sat with Mia.
"I would play football with these guys anytime." Mia said and then laughed.
"There's you man right there." She pointed towards Lucas on the field.
"He's so hot."
"I must say, you made a fine choice." She said and then winked at me.

I look around the bleachers and saw Bailey sitting with Mikey and rolled my eyes.
Every time Lucas scored a goal, he would wink and throw a thumbs up at me.
I could not stop blushing from him.

After our team won, I ran up to Lucas and gave him a hug.
"You did amazing babe!"
"Thanks! We're gonna go get some pizza if you wanna come with."
"I wish but I have to go home with Mia."
"Come on. Just tell her that you'll hang out with her later." He said and then rubbed my back.
I felt bad ditching Mia but she would understand that I'm in a relationship now. Right?

Mia started walking towards Lucas and I.
"Hey Mia!" Lucas said.
"Hey Lucas."
"Uhm Mia." I said and then faced her direction.
"Is it ok if I go out to eat with Lucas?"
"But we were supposed to have a girls night."
"I know. We still might have time later today." I said trying to give her hope.
"No it's fine. Have fun." She said and then walked away.
"See that wasn't that hard!" Lucas said and then kissed me on my cheek.
I felt terrible for ditching Mia.

Lucas and his football team were really obnoxious in the restaurant and I sat quietly the whole time.
Lucas didn't even talk to me while we were there. I stood up and went to the bathroom (he didn't even ask me where I was going).
As I sat in one of the stalls, I decided to text Mia to tell her how horrible this "date" was going.

"Girl. Lucas's team is obnoxious and he isn't even talking to me. I should've had the girls night with you 😭" I wrote.

"Oh lol."

Mia never wrote like that unless she was upset.

"Is everything alright?" I wrote.

She never replied back.

Once I got out of the restroom stall, I went back and sat with Lucas and his team.
"I was wondering where you went!" He said as I sat down.
"You were?" I said. It made me feel slightly better that he noticed I was gone.
"Yeah. I was gonna ask you to get me another drink." He said and then handed me his empty glass.

Ugh.

Whenever I went back home, I saw Mikey sitting by the tv.
"Where's your sister?" I asked.
"Probably hiding from you."
"Ugh. I should've never ditched her."
"Yeah That was messed up. How'd your date go with lover boy?"
"It went great." I said with uncertainty in my voice.
"You don't sound like it went great."
"Fine! Our date was terrible! His friends are so obnoxious and he literally treated me like I was his slave."
"Already? I would've given y'all at least another week." He said sarcastically.
"Dam. I feel stupid now."
"I hate to say I told you so but...."
"Goodbye Mikey." I said and started to walk off.

I slowly opened Mia's door and I saw her that lights were turned off. I went back in my room and fell asleep.
