Chapter 21

Mikey immediate dialed for an Uber to come and they said there would be a 5 minute wait.
"So what do we do if we get caught?" I said while pacing back and forth.
"Don't even worry about it. I'll come up with something."
Whenever the Uber pulled up, we got in with a quickness and we hopped into the car.
"I'm going to need you to drive a little bit faster then you normally would. Our lives are at stake here." Mikey said in Italian and then tipped him ahead of time.
He sped off and followed Mikey's command.
Once we got to the hotel, we ran through the hotels to get to the elevator only to find a long line of people waiting to get on.
"The stairs." We said simultaneously.
We both ran up the stairs... may I mention we were on the 16th floor.

Once we ran in front of our rooms, he pulled me to him and gave me a quick peck on the lips and ran into his room.

"Take off your romper! They're on their way up!" Mia said.
I immediately slipped it off and put on a T-shirt and jumped into our bed.
"Girl! You're so lucky you have me. I basically saved your behind." She said and then laughed.
"You did! Mia... this night was amazing. Like who would have thought that Mikey Barone could be romantic?"
"I told you that I always knew he had a crush on you."

All of a sudden we heard a knock on our door and my heart jumped.
I opened the door and saw their mom standing there with a robe on.
"Oh hey Natalia." She said with a little shock in her voice.
"I was just about to call you and see where you were."
"Oh. Well I'm here." I said and then gave an awkward smirk.
"Alrighty. Well sweet dreams girls." She said and then closer the door.
"That was a close one." I whispered while shutting the door.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" She said and then swung the door back open.
"Tell Mikey that we have a tracker in his phone so we know where he is at all times."
"Um. You do?" I said and then gave a fake smile.
"Yep....."
"Shoot." I said and then looked down.
"Natalia honey..... you guys aren't in trouble. But please next time at least let me know where y'all are going." She said and then smiled.
"Yes ma'm. I'm so sorry!"
"It's fine." She says and then gave a genuine smile and left.
"Please tell me that didn't just happen." I said to Mia.
"Yikes." Mia said and then put our covers over her head.

We both fell asleep.
