We told our parents we weren’t coming home until they made a peace treaty. Well, apparently they made one. So, we’re going home now to watch them sign it. I stood outside my house, pleased to see Dante’s dad’s car sitting in my driveway. I looked up at Dante who gave me an encouraging smile.
“You do know they’re probably going to kill us right?” I asked smirking.
“Yup, but Romeo and Juliet ended with death.” He added with a wink.
“Yea, but their parents didn’t kill them, they killed themselves.” I said matter-of-factly.
“Yea, but their parents’ feud led them to death, so I think it counts.” He said smiling.
“Whatever you say Romeo.” I said laughing and opening the door. Our mothers where standing there looking at the door with crossed arms.
“Do you know how worried I was about you?” They both shrieked.
“Sorry.” We said in unison.
“Sorry isn’t enough.” They said again.
“We know.” We said again. They pulled us in for a hug.
“Don’t you ever do that to me again.” My mom said looking me in the eyes.
“I told you I’d leave if you didn’t do something. My leaving caused all of this to happen.” I said crossing my arms.
“You can’t play with people’s emotions like that Alicia. We were worried. We were going to send out a search party for you.” She said seriously.
“Well maybe if you and dad weren’t so stubborn about this, then none of this would’ve happened. Where is dad by the way?” I asked looking around.
“In the office.” She said before rolling her eyes.
“Thanks.” I said before grabbing Dante’s hand and leading her toward the office. I knocked on his office door.
“Come in.” He said. I creaked the door open. Dante and I took one step in.
“Well, it looks like our children are alive.” My dad said looking over at Dante Senior.
“It appears so.” Dante senior said.
“Now, you do know we’re going to kill you both if you ever try a stunt like that ever again?” My dad asked.
“Yea, we know.” I said nodding.
“Alright, well here it is. A signed agreement ending the fight between our families once and for all.” Dante senior said handing the paper to us.
“Seriously?” I asked in happy surprise.
“Yup. Signed sealed and delivered.” My dad said smiling.
“That’s everything you both asked for.” Dante senior said.
“Yes. Yes it is.” I said smiling.
“Ok, this had better be good.” Cece said crossing her arms.
“It is.” I said nodding.
“Alright, then get to it.” Aurora said sinking into the bean bag.
“Yea, I have a date in 2 hours.” Spencer said rolling on my bed.
“Well damn. You people are supposed to be my best friends. I can’t be rushed!” I grumbled.
“Oh quit acting like a drama queen and get on with it bitch.” Cece said filing her nails.
“Yea.” Aurora and Spencer agreed.
“So what happened it that Dante and I snuck away and went to this little hotel. We stayed there for a while. Blah. Blah. Blah. Our parents were calling us like crazy and we told them that we wouldn’t come home until they made a peace treaty. So they did.” I said shrugging.
“You threatened two drug lords into doing what you guys said?” Aurora asked.
“Yes.” I said nodding.
“That’s pretty damn badass.” Spencer said laughing.
“Yea. I agree. You go girl.” Cece said smiling.
“So did any hanky-panky go on?” Aurora asked.
“Yea! Did you get some?” Spencer asked with a suggestive look.
“Yea.” I said blushing.
Short I know. Sorry. :)
