He'd seen me. He'd seen me. I was going to throw up. The look of shock had been clear as day on His face. Just for a second, though. Then it turned to angst and fury. He started walking over.

"What are you doing here?" His voice was quiet and strained. Michaela looked at me funny. Maybe she believed that He didn't know me.

"Frankly, I'm having some Starbucks." I shot him a look that said 'go away we'll talk later.' Extremely surprising, he got the message. He grabbed Christina's arm and they left. Michaela frowned at me, annoyed.

"The nerve.." She seemed angry. "We'd better get going." She got up and started walking out. I followed. On the walk we talked about awkward stuff.

"So, do you like anyone?" Michaela seemed genuinely interested.

"Ahhh...no." To be honest, I did like someone...

"Oh." She seemed disappointed. The rest of the walk was silent. When we got to Brennan's, he was petting a cat. A different cat.

"Hey. The other cat broke it's fat leg so I got this one."

He threw the cat at the wall and in slow motion it collapsed with the wall and fell on the floor, it's eyes gleamed with anger. In ran full speed at Brennan and pounced on his face. All I saw was some blood and a white ball with a blue circle on the ground. I took another look and started screaming. Brennan was just laying there, trying to cry, but couldn't.

"CALL FREAKING 911 OH MY GOD! DO IT NOW!" Nobody was listening to me. Michaela was frozen in shock. I was starting to panic. I began to cry. But I could not be frozen like her, I had to do something. I ran to the nearest smartphone and clicked it on. Then it was locked.

"NO NO NO NO NO, Brennan I tried.." I slid down to the ground.

Brennan glared at me as if to say 'no, you did not try, woman, I'm still sitting here, one eyed!'

I gave it another try. I ran to the kitchen. A house phone!!! This could not be a mirage, could it? I picked it up and called the police department, out of breath.

"This is 911, how may I help you?" A woman with a serious monotone answered.

"Please just help, my neighbors eye fell out, he needs urgent help."

"Ok ma'am what's your address?"

"Ah, the address is Warden Road, I'm not sure the number. It's right by a blue store. Please hurry!"

"On their way."

"Thank you."

When I rushed back to try and help Brennan, Michaela was already unfrozen. She was kneeling over Brennan with a lot of paper towels. Mopping up blood, I guess. It was when I ran down to start helping, Michaela broke the news to Brennan.

"So, I don't know if this is a good time or not but, I think we should, uh, break up..."

Brennan looked hurt. "Ikhjsljhddobgdvkhdejfsykfsokjxv." His words were muffled. A lot. He actually started crying. Well, as much as he could, anyway. Then, the door crashed open and some medical dudes came in.

"BACK AWAY BACK AWAY!"

Michaela and I were already backed up so far that we were up against the wall. I was going to break down. Brennan was eyeless. The last of Brennan I saw was his hand dangling off the carrier in a creepy, zombie ish way.
