I sighed, getting ready to text Christina I was sick or something when he came up to me. The boy in the dark Cadillac.

"Hi." He smiled at me, revealing perfectly white teeth.

"Um hi?" I'm not a social person...

"I just noticed you were sitting alone and uh if you wanted to come to the dance. With me." he said it more of a stern command than a question.

"Um sure?" I was so stupid.

"Ok then." he flashed a smile and sat next to me. It wasn't until now I took in his features. He had brown hair, so light it could almost be blond and blue eyes. He looked older, nearly 18. While I was only 16. I didn't notice him from around here.

"Do you go to school here?" I asked.

"Uh no. But I used to uhm a while back."

"Oh well my friend has tickets for me and a date so we're in."

"Great." He said, flashing another smile. It didn't seem as sincere.

I saw Christina and waved her over. Chris was with her but didn't look as menacing as normal. He had changed since my mom got back. I was kind of grateful. Almost grateful. "Hiiiii!" Christina said, in her cheery voice. "Lets go in"

I saw Michaela with Brennan so I didn't really want to disturb them. I didn't bother inviting her with us. I was too excited for my first dance. As soon as we walked in, my date wanted a drink. He took me, Christina and Chris into the hallway to get one. By now the brightly decorated cafeteria was full. He led us into the hallway, double checking we were alone. When we got to the water fountain, he pulled a gun out of his pocket. I turned, my emotions suddenly dropping. My stomach churned with fear. No! I though, my insides burning. No no no no! he pointed the gun at Chris, whose back was up against the wall. That's when I heard the gunshot
