~~~~~~~OLIVIA POV~~~~~~~~~~
The world is spinning slowly as we dash as quietly as we can go, trying to get to a spot. Then it hits me. What if we just go downstairs? There's a staircase at the other end of the hall that leads to the first floor and if we ran fast enough....
As I'm running and looking behind me at the same time, I tell Michaela this master plan. She's all in. We start running towards the stairs and we are breathing heavily, about to reach the stairs. As we are running down the first step I hear a voice not far behind me.
"Hold up." the voice says. I turn around and it's the boy from before. Instead of brown hair he now had red hair but the same blue eyes. He had probably worn a wig. He laughed, a small cruel laugh, walking closely towards me. I see Michaela racing down the stairs, already out of sight.
"That's ok." he says, coming closer. "One kill is all I need to make my mark. Though I already have a couple kills." He smirks, his eyes landing on the stairs behind me. I wonder what he's looking at. I turn my head, but quickly because he could make a move. I don't see anything. In the quick moment it took me to turn my head, the boy has grabbed my by the waist and is pulling me off into an empty classroom. I can see he's pulling an LSAT out from behind his back but I've already decided to make a run for it. My feet move without my brain approving the movement.
"Thought you could get away?" his voice is gravelly and the gun is now at my forehead. This huge gun. "Go ahead. Try me."
I stay still and my heart is either not beating at all or beating so fast I can not feel it. Help me somebody help me help me.
"Let me tell you a few things about myself. One, I'm Jarred. Two, it's die time." He pulls the trigger.
~~~~~~~Michaela POV~~~~~~~~~

I raced down the stairs, positive Olivia was right behind me. Well, she wasn't. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I ran right into Brennan. He looked worried.

"Hey vache what's wrong?" I asked, giving him a hug.

"Uhm Ian's dead." He says quietly.

"Oh." my voice cracks. I didn't really know Ian but I know he was important to Brennan and that makes it matter. But I don't know where Olivia is and I think he's got her and that matters most since she is amazing and she is super awesome. But she's also my best friend.

"Brennan, Olivia has been taken by the killer. I don't know what to do."

"Lets get the hell out of here. Forget her." I can't believe he's saying that. It makes me stagger back a few steps.

"She saved your life!" I scream a little too loudly out of anger.

"Yeah but I'm in no state to repay her." He points to his eye patch. "Lets go to Taco Bell and Starbucks."

"No we have to go back for her." I argue.

"Ugh fine but later?" Brennan asks.

"Sure. If there is a later."

He puts his hand on my shoulder and we walk up the stairs. We check the classrooms, bathrooms, and closets. We find nothing. Until we reach a classroom at the end of the hallway. Mrs. Dardis's room. There we find the killer swearing and having a tantrum and we find Olivia shaking in fear, apparently unharmed. We charge the room.

"DAMMIT! No good. No good." The killer is talking half to himself as we wall in the room. "Who's that?" he asks Olivia, motioning at us.

"I have no idea." Olivia lies while the redheaded killer approaches us.

"I would shoot all of you right now but apparently I forgot the bullets at home for this particular gun." The guy is smacking himself on the forehead, clearly humiliated.

"Well. Looks like I'm gonna have to be a little..hands on." He approaches us, flexing his hands. Prepared to kill.
