Since Moon wasn't here for christmas my mom conjoined the two holiday into one so it was like a Christmas New Year. Me and Jade went into the living room. Moon's girlfriend was on his lap on the leather sofa. Lucky was sitting on the leather armchair. Gage was sitting on the far side of the couch like he was trying to save room. I hope he doesn't think we're gonna sit next to him.

Let's just say the awkwardness in the room was so thick you'd be able to chop it with a butcher knife.

Gage glanced over at me and licked his lips with a mischievous look in his eyes. "How about you come sit next to me sugar"

I gagged. "How about you stop flirting with my girlfriend" Lucky spoke up scowling at Gage with unmistakable disgust in his voice. Gage bursts out laughing. Making everyone except that girl (I think her name's Oval) give him an incredulous look.

Gage began to wipe fake tears from his eyes. "Dude You're funny you know that" Lucky opened his mouth to reply but Jade beat him to it "the only thing that's funny right now is your face"

Did Jade just stick up for Lucky?

"Oh, I'm sorry Sugar are you mad because I'm not paying your pretty little tale no attention" Gage asked with a sickening amusement.

Jade scoffed. "Ew no."

"Don't talk to her" Lucky growled

Gage feigned hurt holding his hands mid air in surrender. "I honestly thought that Sierra was your girlfriend oops"

"She is" Lucky said rising to his feet.

Gage stood up. "You trying to get at something bro?"

That's my cue.

I went to go stand in front of Lucky. "Babe calm down. This guy is obviously immature, and ignorant. Don't stoop that low." I finish giving him a serious look. Gage started chuckling.

Lucky looked at Gage and then at me his jaw was clenched. He took a deep breath. "Okay but I'm not gonna let him say anything to you" I shook my head "I can stand up for myself just calm down ok?" He sighed looking into my eyes his expression became momentarily softer and then he sat down bringing me to sit in his lap with him.

Gage was seated as well and, unfortunately he opened his stupid mouth. "Yea listen to your bi-"

"Finish that and you die" I said squeezing Lucky's arm as a warning not to do anything stupid.

"Don't talk to my brother like that!" Moon's girlfriend apparently got bored and wanted to join the discussion.

"Shut up Oval" Jade said with a smirk.

Me and Jade decided to give her a nickname. We agree on Oval. We like it.

"What did you just call me!" She screech standing up nearly tripping over Moon's feet.

"Oval" Jade's pronunciation of the word was beautifully mocking.

Ava sneered, her nostrils flared. "Well if I'm Oval" she pointed at me "you're slut number one" and then she pointed at Jade " You're slut number two"

"I'm so hurt"I reply with heavy sarcasm laced in my words. Jade laughed behind me.

"You're gonna be hurt If-"

"Sit down Ava" Moon who hasn't said anything this whole time spoke up. His smooth deep voice sent shivers down my spine. He sounded so powerful. It was kind of hot.

Shutup Sierra.

"But-" Ava began before she got cut off by Jade. "You should listen to him"

Pure hatred took over her face but, before she could say anything my mom came in the living room with a pan of Christmas cookies

"Hey kids how's the party going?" She asked as she began to pass out the cookies.

"Good" everyone says in unison. I would question why everyone just straight up lied but, I see everyone's eyes on my mom's frosted Christmas cookies and I have my answer.

After everyone took a cookie off of the pan my mom smiled at us joy clear in her eyes. She looked at me and then at Moon. "Are you guys gonna do the Christmas song" her eyes were expectant.

"No" we said in unison. My mom frowned instantly. "Well I guess in gonna have to find the DVR. I'll be right back"

She walked off. Moon frowned at me. "Don't worry I hid all of the DVRs after you left" I told him. Relief washed over his face before Oval started making out with him out of nowhere.

"I think I'm gonna be sick" I heard Jade say.

I sat down on Lucky's lap. Oval began taking things out of a grocery shopping bag. She had a stupid smile on her face. I grimaced as she took out a bottle of eggnog from the bag.

"Here babe I got this eggnog for you" She handed him the eggnog with a smug look. I smiled at her satisfied by the confusion settled in her face.

"He hates eggnog" I told her factually. She whipped her hand towards Moon and realized that the eggnog was still in her hand because he hasn't accepted it. He looked at her with a silent nod agreeing with me.

"Oh" she cleared her throat awkwardly. She dug around in the bag again taking out some chocolate milk. "Well I got some of this for you" she held the milk like a million dollars.

"He's lactose intolerant" I stated trying to keep my face straight. She growled "shutup I know my boyfriend"

"Do you?" I ask.

"Worry about your boyfriend and I'll worry about mine." She sneered

"You didn't even know your boyfriend was lactose intolerant....sad" Jade came to my rescue.

"Can the both of you Shut up the hell up!!!" Jade begged.

"No" Jade said "but you need to"

"Sugar you need a man maybe that's why you're so uptight." Gage opened his motor mouth winking at Jade as she fake gagged.

"Hey dude shut up before I shut you up" I could feel the anger radiating of Lucky. I stood up once again.

"Can everybody shut up!" I whisper yelled. "My mom threw this party for us we should pretend that we're enjoying each other's company."

"Agreed". Lucky said, he pointed to Gage. "As long as you stop messing with these two." He points at me and Jade.

Gage shrugged. "And stay out of me and my man's relationship!" Oval said rolling her eyes.

Jade and I held back a laugh, before my mom came in with the a box.  My heart started to pound frantically in my ears. How did she find that. I put in the best hiding place I could find.

The attic.

She had a jubilant smile. "Ok I found the tapes. Since Sierra and Moon were six years old they spent Christmas together. They even wrote a song" she squealed.

"Mom you don't need to do that" I say standing up once again. She gave me a 'get out of my face look' so I took my seat.

I didn't dare look at Moon. I didn't want too.

She popped in the DVR rewinding it to the very beginning.

Oh no.
