KY'S POV
As we walked out the cinema at around 4:45, we were both a mixture of hyper and random.
'Are your parents gonne be fine coping with us for something like 4 hours, fifteen minutes?' I ask him.
'Yeah. I asked. We basically live around each other's houses. Our parents are fine with it.' Baki replies and I nod my head.
Leaving the cinema, we walk through the fairly busy town, avoiding people by dodging into small gaps. Somehow we managed to stay fairly close together. We managed to escape the people as we got to the outskirts of the town center.
'Jesus, I hate it when it's busy.' Bash sighs, scratching his head.
We all agree fiarly quickly.
'What way to teh igloo then Bakster?' Double asks.
'Never call me Bakster again... But my house is something like ten minutes away. Not too long. We can play video games and everything!' Baki smiles.
'Yes!' Simon fist bumps the air.
We laugh and chat until we come to a quieter part of the town a block or so away from my own house. But here it looked different. There was a wooded area connected to a MASSIVE green area where you could play make-shift baseball or soccer. Included in the green area was a medium sized play ground with swings and slides and a fair sized climbing frame. There was a row of houses which were similar to mine and some had kids playing in the front garden or two ladies chatting. It was really nice here.
'Not too far now.' Baki smiled, leading the way.
'I feel the need to put on a really badass tune as we walk down the street with us lot.' Ghost smiles
'Same here!' Bash agreed.
We passed the houses and moved out teh way for kids on their bike or running down the street with a soccer ball or frisbee. Baki soon lead us towards a house with a neatly kept front garden with loads of vibrantly colored flowers.
'Welcome to the Igloo!' He smiled, showing off his house.
'Why call it the Igloo? I know people call you a snowman but is there another reason?' I ask.
'Yeah. There are several. One is the fact that whenever it snows we build igloos, another is because my ohuse is very cold in the summer and kinda of winter and the last being this used to be called 'The Frost house.' But we changed it to RoseBerry House on account of my mom.' Baki explained.
'Come on. Mom should be home.' He smiled, walking towards the door.
I go really quiet in other people's homes or if someone I don't know is in the house. A habit from Dad's business meetings, business gathering and parties. Once I warm up to them, I'm not as bad. In a stream, we follow Baki into his house. I shut the door behind me seeing as I was the last one inside.
'Mom! We are back!' He shouts.
'In the kitchen!' His mom replies.
A waft of fresh baking passes through the hallway as we were lead into teh large kitchen. There was a woman with long brown hair in a pink floral apron adn matching oven mitts holding a tray of cookies. She wore a happy, sweet smile and looked the perfect vision of a mom.
'Hi Baki. Just in time, just got some treats out the oven.' She said in her sweet voice.
'Awesome!' He smiles, placing his house keys on the table.
'Hello again boys.' She adds and they say hi. 'You guys can stay for dinner. Me, Baki and his father were having pizza. But I'm sure you can join us.' She smiles.
