"Ringgggg!!" My alarm clock rang, deafening my ears.
"SHUT UP!" I screamed, trying to turn of that noisy machine with my eyes still closed.
"BETHANY! WAKE UP! GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED NOW!" my mum shrieked, banging my wooden door.
"Stop banging! It'll break!" I groaned, opening my eyes and adjusting to my surroundings.
I pulled open the door and saw my mum standing there, her arms crossed across her chest.
"Uh oh," I mumbled, knowing that I pissed her off with my last sentence.
"You better wash that filthy mouth of yours. Go and bathe! I want you down in thirty minutes!" she yelled at me, although I was just inches away from her.
"Yes mum," I groaned, shutting my door again.
"MORE LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK THE DOOR!" she shouted, and I could not help but giggle. Typical mum.
I rushed into the bathroom and took a quick yet refreshing shower. Dang, it felt so good to be cleaned with cold water.
I wrapped myself with a towel and headed to my wardrobe.
I picked up a pink hoodie paired with blue skinny jeans. I quickly changed into them.
After doing what I was supposed to do to get ready for school, I threw my bag across my shoulder and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
"Bye mum, I'm leaving now," I said, after grabbing a granola bar from the fridge.
"Bye dearie! Take care. Be at the airport by 8! Your brother, Alex is flying off!" she replied.
"Alright mum!"
I slipped my feet into my blue converse and headed to school. Today was the last day of school for the year and I was extremely happy. Holidays for the win!
I walked towards the bus stop and waited patiently for my bus to arrive. The clock was ticking and the bus had not arrived yet.
I decided to call my mother so that she could drive me to school since the bus was not here yet.
"Mum! Can you please come to the bustop across our house? The bus hasn't arrived yet! Drive me to school!" I said, panick laced in my tone.
"Oh dear! Dad took the car to work! Just board a cab," my mum said.
"Oh god. Okay then." I ended the call.
I saw a cab approaching and I waved my hands, catching the driver's attention. The taxi promptly stopped in front of me.
"To West Wale High School please," I said, placing my bag on my lap.
I saw my school and heaved a sigh of relief when I saw students walking in slowly. Thank God I made it before the bell!
"Thank you!" I said, handing my money to the driver.
He smiled and drove off into the distance.
Upon reaching school, I saw my boyfriend, Justin. He was leaning against the wall, talking to his group of friends. When he saw me, he whispered something to one of his friends and headed towards me.
"Hey Beth!" He smiled, jogging towards me.
"Justin!" I called, smiling back.
Justin and I have been together for two years and he was the one who confessed to me. Both of us had been close friends and we secretly liked each other. When he told me how he felt, I was appalled. He has curly brown hair and ocean blue eyes. His skin was a creamy white colour. Our parents knew that we were together and they don't seem to mind.
