"That smells so delicious!" I remarked, licking my lips and then breathing in the scent of the delicious pancakes.

"Obviously pumpkin, I'm your grandma!" No matter what her age was, her humor never left her. I loved her so much for that. I'm so glad that she's doing way better after the hospital incident. She means so much to me, i cannot even explain it.

I smiled widely at her and then hopped down the tall stool, making my way to the living room.

Again, my parents had work. They would not be back till 8pm but it was still better than last night; they only came back at 1 in the morning.

Ashton left me around 10 at night, because he was tired; i could see it in his eyes and i did not want him to stay with me for too long. He needed his space as much as i needed mine.

I looked around my little cozy living room, noticing my family portrait, a picture of me and Alex when we were little kids and of course, my parents wedding photo.

The were all hung in a diagonal manner, leading up to the second floor starting from the staircase at level 1.

The colour of the wall is white, giving the living room a classy look. (On a side note, wouldn't it be ironic is someone died in a living room? HAHA. Laugh with me please (; )

I walked to the black couch and turned on the television. I was bored to death. After being restless for a brief 15 minutes, I sighed and walked to the kitchen.

"Grandma, are the pancakes done?" I asked, embracing her into a hug.

" Yea, they're by the counter. All fresh and ready for you. Don't forget to eat the berries!" She reminded me.

I thanked her and settled down on the couch, turning on the tv.

"I was thinking if you wanted to go out today? Shopping maybe?" Grandma asked as she settled down beside me.

A smile formed my lips. I haven't gone shopping in ages!

"Yes grandma! That would be awesome!" I said. I turned to face her and gave my signature smile.

She nodded at me and told me to get ready once I've finished eating my breakfast. Damn, I love her so much.

I finished the last bit of the pancake and threw my plate into the sink and mentally told myself that I would wash it later.

When i opened my wardrope, i just did not know what to wear. I finally settled for a red crop too with a long black maxi skirt and a pair of black combat boots. I took my black sling bag from the hook and invaded it with my wallet, phone and things that i needed. After washing my face and applying a tad bit of make-up, I decided that I was done.

"Grandma! Let's go!" Was all i said before we left the house.

We took a cab to the mall because grandma claimed that she was too lazy to walk. She looked so beautiful in her brunette hair, despite her wrinkles. She had on a bright red lipstick that matched her very well.

The first shop we went to was Top Shop. They sold really good clothes in there but honestly they were over priced. But that didn't stop people from buying products from there.

I went into the jeans section because i needed more jeans. I grabbed a maroon coloured jeans and a ripped blue boyfriend washed one. I had too many black ones at home. Especially black ripped skinny jeans. After that, i got some shorts that had pretty lacing around the bottom.

Grandma insisted on paying them as she claimed that she'd missed out a lot on my life which was a bullshit of an excuse. She's always been here, by my side, being a shoulder for me to cry on.

After shopping around and buying uunnecessary items, we decided to have lunch. I picked out Pasta Mania as it reminded me of Justin. I have no idea how he was doing now but i hope he was doing great. I thought about whether he had his eyes on someone else. Yes, i was overthinking. But it's pretty normal isn't it?

"Grace !" Someone screamed, naming my grandma.

I looked infront to see a lady who looked like a older version of Ashton. It must be his grandma, olivia. I remember that Ashton's grandma and my grandma were very close friends.

"Olivia, nice to see you!" My grandma called, getting off her seat and approaching her.

I watched as the two ladies talked and laughed at each other. It brought a smile to my lips. Age definitely did not matter.

After finishing up my food, i decided to head back home. I gave my grandma and Olivia time to catch up and told my grandma that I'd head home first.

I took the long way home, and at the same time, blasted 'long way home' by 5 Seconds On Summer through my phone. Honestly, it was a pretty great song. My ears seemed to only listen to Ashton's drumming. His drumming had so much passion and i didn't need to see it to know it. I could hear the passion through my cheap headphones.

And that's when i thought about Ashton.

He'd been the one making time to spend with me and despite being so busy or tired, he made an effort to accompany me.

I've been so careless. I knew he had something for me. But did i have something him? What if i was wrong? Would I be disappointed? I guess, I would just have to wait for a little more and cherish him as my bestfriend while i still can.

Before i went back to bed, I recieved a message. I couldn't help but feel the butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

" Beth! I'll pick you up at 1 tomorrow. We're going to the beach. Time to get a tan! (; Up for it or nah? Ash xx "

And I said, see you at 1.
