I felt like my life was completely over My oldest step brother had passed he was like my second dad I mean he was my everything ill never forget it the day before Easter, I was sitting in my Livingroom braiding hair when my phone rung. My step moms number came cross the caller I.D all I heard when I picked up the phone was screaming and my other step brother yelling he gone Sherrie, Kenny gone. I instantly jumped up and ran out the door I jumped in my car and drove about 5 blocks over to Elm Ave where my step mom stayed. I pulled up I saw ambulances and a van that read CORONOR. I was hurt it felt like somebody snatched my heart out of my chest. My best friend My Backbone My everything was gone. As I stood off to the side and watched as they brought him out on a bed and covered in a white sheet My body went numb I fell to my knees. God was trying to wake me up, but I ignored all the signs. After my oldest step brother passed I became very distant I was basically shutting everybody out I was hurt I wondered why I was being punished. After a couple months me and my other step brother got into a bad argument on how I was letting my child's father control me I told him mind his business. I wish we could've talked it out because a month or so after that he passed also. I hated myself I hated my life I just wanted to surrender I was to young to be experiencing these things.  I finally took everybody advice I went back to school and work and I also was in the process of leaving my child's father I was determined to change my life around and make my brothers kids and stepmom proud, but I guess by then it was too late.
