Even after me doing my jail time and being released to this day I still feel locked up by the system. I was released with the terms of probation after I completed my time. I had 5 years supervised and 15 unsupervised I was released off of supervised probation on January 7 2016 . Even though I felt a sense of relief I still was locked in the system , Meaning now that I have those 5 felonies on my record it was very hard for me. I could get a job but I only made it through the interview stage or long enough to get my first paycheck because once the background check came back I was out of a job. Even though I came home ready to work and change my life and no matter how free I thought I was I still couldn't break away from those chains of the commonwealth.

I often wondered why these men always said getting a job and having a felony is hard I always thought it was a excuse until I walked down the same rode they did see the system Is designed to keep you trapped. It's up to us to overcome that entrapment
