Chapter 7

"Girls, wake-up, breakfast is ready," Jenna's mom said, pulling blankets off of us.

"Good morning to you, too, Mom," Jenna said sleepily. I got out of bed and we went down to eat. After breakfast I got dressed in some sweats and threw my hair up into what turned out to be a very sloppy ponytail.

"When are you going home?" Jacob approached me with.

"When my mom stops being a raging bitch and you quit being a raging alcoholic."

"So, never?"

"When I feel like it. Leave me alone, now, please. I have a nice break-up to lament in," he rolled his eyes at me and went upstairs. The doorbell rang just as I sat down and Jenna came bolting down, almost colliding with her older brother.

"Jesus, could we get any more people coming to the house?" she said as she opened the door.

"Hey Jen, we heard that Faith is back. You know where she is?" the voice was a familiar one I hadn't heard in a while. I got up and went to the door and in the frame stood my friends Elizabeth, Duncan, Chase, and Riley. When they all saw me they looked shocked before Elizabeth came and gave me a giant hug.

"What happened? We heard that you had moved to California for good, we figured you weren't ever going to come back," Elizabeth said when she pulled away.

"No, we - I mean I - was back a month ago, I think, getting things to move out there. Something came up and now I'm back again."

"Ooh, who's the other half of 'we'? Did little Faith get a boyfriend?" Chase walked in a circle around me and poked my sides.

"Stop!" I laughed, "It's something I'd prefer to not talk about right now."

"Here, I'll tell them, you can go get a drink or something," Jenna offered. I smiled at her as everyone sat down in the living room. I got out snacks from their pantry and waited for the squealing to stop so I know it'd be safe to make an appearance.

"So, what all did you hear from her?" I asked as I made my appearance. The boys came and stole the tray from me before I was even half way there, I knew them too well to not bring out food.

"I'm sure everything. The whole love-at-first-sight deal at the," Riley was interrupted by Duncan.

"More like disgusting, I mean really, 'And then he saw her and went to find her after the show and'-Ow! What the Hell Riles?"

"Don't interrupt Duncan, anyway, and the going around with the guy and moving in and the pregnancy scare. Oh, by the way, he's a total asshole for being so weird about such a little thing as scars, like, really, everyone has them."

"I forgive him. It really isn't his fault."

"You still love him don't you?" Chase shouted.

"What the - how the hell did you pick that one up?"

"It's gay boy intuition," Elizabeth spoke for him, "it's been coming on a lot stronger since you left."

"Shut up, Lizzy. I don't see why you couldn't pick up on it, you are a girl after all."

"Seriously, you two, knock it off! God, you're like fucking two year olds!" Duncan groaned. Just then we heard a loud clearing of someone's throat. We looked over to see Jenna's mom standing there in shock.
