二十三 「Ni Jū San」

Everyone looked at Akihito in shock while he, in turn, looked at Yang in horror. "How did you know?!" He yelled. Yang towered over him and demanded how this happened. "You are a human male. A vile human male that was abused by a demon. HOW ARE YOU CARRYING THAT MAN'S CHILD?!" Yang screamed.

Akihito looked at her in fear. "I-I sought out a man who can change my body. Name is Alphonse. He did this," he blurted out. Minori held her mother's hand. "What does this mean?" She asked. Yang looked at her. "This means that Zane's bloodline does not end with you..." Yang said then looked at Akihito's stomach. "We still have that to deal with."

Kaosa, The Queen of Dragons, made a suggestion. "What if we raise the child?" She asked and everyone looked at her. Kaosa explained, "If we raise the baby, he or she will more or less turn out like Lucy." Akihito began to scream, "YOU CAN'T MY BABY AWAY FROM ME!!! ITS THE ONLY THING I HAVE LEFT OF ZANE!!" Tears streamed down his face. "Please..... Don't take them away from me..."

Minori and Rogue looked at Akihito with a sympathetic look on their faces. Minori understood the feeling Akihito was happen. So, against her better judgement, she said, "What if he let him keep his child?"

Silence.

"Minori... What are you saying?" Yang said sternly. "HE COULD RAISE ANOTHER ZANE!!" Minori glared at her mother. "Not if we helped him. If one or two of us were with him, he can stay with his baby and we can make sure my little sibling doesn't turn out to be like my father," Minori said.

Yang looked at Minori thoughtfully before sighing. "Alright. We will do as you say, but..." She looks at Akihito. "If you ever mention the horrors Zane did, I will personally take that child away from you." Akihito nodded viciously, not wanting to anger the woman in the mask.

A few months passed, and Akihito was in the library with a swollen stomach with Minori by his side, since today she was watching over him. "You should read this book," Minori said, pulling a book off the shelf. "Its really good." Akihito takes the book and reads the synopsis.

Synopsis

Akihito stared at the back cover for a little longer. Minori snickered. "Can't stop looking at the guy on the back?" She asked and he nodded. "That is Jack." Akihito looked up real quick. "Really?! He is so sexy!!" He exclaimed. "I KNOW RIGHT!!" She exclaimed back. He holds onto the book. "I'm reading this for sure," he said.

After a while, they were sitting at a table, reading a load of books. "This is going to be a good day," Akihito said while picking up the first book and started reading. Minori smiled before reading her book.

Akihito stared at the book after he finished it. "I'm learning French...." he said out of the blue. Minori looked up and smiled. "Told ya!" She said while laughing. Akihito looked at her and smiled. "How are you so different from Miss Xiao Long?" he asked her. Minori stopped laughing and thought about it.

"Well, I wasn't really raised by my mother. For some of my life, I was raised by human parents," She explained. "Then after than, I was raised by Acnologia for a little bit, then I raised myself for a little bit before I got into a guild," She sighed. "But, the guild I chose began to become abusive, so I left and was raised by Kaosa. Being raised by different personalities kinda made me who I am.

"But, my mom has been through a lot as well, because of my father. He killed my grandmother, and he disfigured my mom's face," She groaned. "I could tell my mother was a beautiful woman, but now..." At that moment, Yang walked in. "And now, I'm hideous," She finished for Minori.

"Mom, I..." Minori started to say, but  Yang cut her off. "It's alright, I take it from here," Yang told her and looked at Akihito from behind her mask. "When I was only a few months pregnant, I found out that Zane killed my mother and alerted my uncle, God, that we were not following ancient rules.

"So, I ran," Yang said. "I had Minori in secret and that lasted only 2 weeks. A pack of hellhounds found us and attacked us," Yang pulled off her mask to reveal her horrible scars and Akihito gasped while covering his mouth. "This is what happens when Zane didn't get what he wanted and what he wanted was a child just as corrupted as him."

Akihito looked down at his swollen stomach and placed a hand on it. "I swear to you, now that I know the complete truth of Zane, this child will never be like him," Akihito vowed. Yang nodded. "See that they don't," Yang said before placing her mask back on her face and leaving the room.

"Your mother is intimidating."

"Tell me about it..."
