"Wow you're getting fat. " Amanda told me. "So are you. " I say awkward. She smiled slyly. "Well I'm pregnant. " She smiled largely. "Yea by chance. Who by the way, still wants me. " I crossed my arms. "Ladies. " Jarrod came to us. "I'm pregnant and she's harassing me. " Amanda cooed. "First off, I could care less and laela is not harassing you. " He said coldly. I could see Amanda surprised. "Both of you sit. " He said rough. We did and we both stayed quiet.
"Come here. " Jarrod told me. I did and saw other students standing around thinking I was gonna get in trouble. "Everyone else can leave." Jarrod angrily said. They did and I followed closing the door. "My mom is in the hospital. " He grit. I gasped. "I'm sorry. " I went to him hugging him. He pulled me down into him. i hugged his head to my chest. The door opened and there stood Brittany. "Oh my god!" She yelled. I got off Jarrod scared. he leaned forward slamming his head on the desk. "What the hell?"she yelled. "Shhh. " I went to her holding her arms. "Nothing is going on. " I try to reason. "I'm you're bestfriend!" she yelled. "Used to be! we haven't even been talking! where have you even been?" I asked demanding. "This is NOT about me right now!" she yelled. "Stop girls. Look. Nothing is going on. Me and laela are close but we're not like that. " He said in a smooth voice. I almost thought we had nothing for a moment. She folded her arms. "You know in still in love with chance. " I suddenly say. She turned and left out angry. "Oh chance, right. " Jarrod muttered to himself. I went to him and hugged him. "You might want to stay away. I'm trying my best to not kiss you at school and the only thing coming out is anger. " He sighed. I nod and kiss his cheek. "Okay bye. " I softly say. He nodded gently and turned.
All day I couldn't help but think of Jarrod. He usually never speaks of his mom but seams so distraught. I couldn't even wait till to end of the day. "Hey lae." Chance sat by me outside. He pulled out a cigarette lighting it. "Stop. That's a cancer stick. " I look at him serious. Jarrod's reaction to his mom got me thinking about my dad. Oh how disappointed he will be in me. "Okay. " He dropped it stepping on it. Then I felt myself being swept up. He had me by the straps of my backpack. "Cutie. " He mumble and kiss my lips softly. I jerked back looking around. "Chance!" I hiss. The ride was quiet until we reached his driveway. "You're mine laela. " He suddenly said. "Yea. Of course. " I say softly looking at him. He didn't say it creepy but depressed. "I heard every word chance said. Why don't you take him back. You guys have history. " He asked looking over at me. I turned so I was facing him. "Because I love you. " I smile. I truly did love him. He thought for a moment. "Love you so much. " I lean forward pressing my lips against his. He held my chin lightly. "Love you too. " He softly said. "No. " I grabbed his arm. "Okay. So you got some cloths?" He asked. I nod. We were going to his moms. She was released the same day so Jarrod waited for the weekend. "I'm nervous. " I softly say. Jarrod looks up beaming. "Don't be. She will love you because I love you and you are carrying her grand baby. " He smiled picking up my bags. "Are we telling her....now?" I asked nervous. "I want to but I need to discuss other things also with her before I tell her. I can't just be like. 'This is laela, she's my student, living with me and oh, I knocked her up' that would be detrimental to is both." He joked half serious. "Okay. " I suddenly said smiling. "When are we leaving?" Jason asked in the doorway. "In a little. You can go ahead and out your stuff in the car.
Just like when we went to see my dad, Jarrod drove, I sat in the passenger side next to him holding his hand and Jason laid in the back. "I'm so nervous. " Jarrod sighed. "You? Nervous? I didn't think that could happen." I smile intertwining our fingers I could feel his cool rings on my skin. "Well don't worry. You probably will only see me nervous one more time and that's when this baby comes. " He chuckled lightly. I laid my head to the side in his shoulder letting a deep breath out. "Love you.
