Cooper was now at McDonald's, mixing fatty ingredients and grease together to make culinary masterpieces. He had a paper hat on and a greasy work uniform. This was the first day of his new job. A pup walked up with his mother-dog.
"Hi, how may I help you guys today?" Cooper asked the customers. "I suggest you try today's special!" The pup jumped up and down, but mid-order, his mother-dog interrupted. Cooper frowned. "Little guy's able to order his own meal ma'am. What would you like to get little guy, a Happy Meal?"
"Yeah!" the pup sang as he danced around. "Happy Meal! Happy Meal!"
"No sweetie, that's not healthy. He'll take the Ceasar Salad and some Oyster Crackers on the side, hold the croutons, please."
"Coming right up!" Cooper said. He went over to prepare the Ceasar Salad, but on his way, he ran into Mac. Mac was pre-making Happy Meals. "Hey Mac, can I get one of those, buddy?" he asked.
"You got it, Coop Dawg!" Mac chanted in return as he handed Cooper a Happy Meal. "But, uh, weren't you supposed to make a Ceasar Salad for that mother-dog and her pup?"
"Yeah, but the kid had his heart set on a Happy Meal. It's not my fault the mother-dog is too strict. I overheard her talking to her pup and congratulating him for getting great grades on his obedience report card, that's a special occasion, he deserves more than a Ceasar Salad! He deserves a reward, not a punishment for doin' a good job, right?"
Mac looked unsure. "Sure, but the mother-dog will be unhappy. Plus, there is a big price difference. Fat chance she's gonna pay $2 more to get her son a meal she doesn't even want him to have!"
Cooper ignored him and walked up to the counter and gave the little pup a Happy Meal. He also handed the mother-dog a Ceasar Salad. "Here, Happy Meal on the house, it IS his special day. Be more lenient with the kid, you only get to be a kid once, you know. Gotta enjoy pup-hood while you still have it."
The mother-dog's face softened. She nodded and dug through her purse to pay for the Ceasar Salad.
"Just take it," Cooper smiled. "Have a nice day ma'am, and you too little tike!"
The mother-dog nuzzled her son and they skipped out together with glee.
