Day Five (cont.)
“Dare.” Krista said. We were sitting in a circle in the centre of the living room. Nat moved the coffee table out of the way for us. Scott and Jessica had come downstairs to hang out with us after their hanky panky time.
A smirk formed on my face. I desperately wanted to see how Nat would react to Krista kissing someone else. “I dare you to…” I pretended to think. “…kiss Dylan.” I knew Dylan wouldn’t care about Nat’s opinion because Dylan doesn’t care about what anyone else thinks.
Nat shot me an evil glare. His hands tightened to fists. Krista bit her bottom lip and looked over at him. I looked at Dylan who was sitting against the couch with a smile on his face. Behind the music that was playing from my phone in the centre of the circle, I could hear Noelle giggle.
“Well?” I asked after it got too silent for too long.
“You have to do it, Krissy.” Dylan winked and stood up in the middle of the circle. Whenever someone had to do something with someone else, even like slapping them in the face, they both had to stand in the middle of the circle.
Krista broke eye contact with Nat and stood up. I could only see what was going on from an angle. When Krista reached the centre, she hesitated to get close to Dylan. We all knew Nat was an overly protective guy. Dylan put his hand on Krista’s side and pulled her close, pressing the lower half of his body against hers. It was almost as if he was intentionally trying to make Nat jealous.
I looked over at Nat to see him biting his cheek. A giggle escaped my mouth at the look of his weird face. He looked over at me and rolled his eyes. I saw him mouth “bitch” before chuckling. It wasn’t obvious he was trying to hide his jealous but you could see it in his flushed cheeks.
I looked back at Dylan and Krista. He had whispered something in her ear that made her blush. She then pressed her lips against Dylan’s. His hand that was previously on her side was now moving lower and a little bit to her back.
The kiss had gone on for too long and Nat stood up. He put his hand on Dylan’s shoulder and pushed him back. Dylan looked at Krista with a smirk on his face. Krista’s cheeks turned red and she looked back at Nat who had gone back to where he was sitting. When Krista sat down, he put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close.
My phone buzzed. Noelle texted me saying, “She so totally loved it.”
“Do you think I’ll have to give her a new pair of pants?” I replied. Noelle let out a loud laugh and looked at me. I chuckled and put my phone away.
“Okay! Who’s next?” Jordan asked.
Time went on and on. It was basically the game of who’s going to kiss who next. Neither Nat nor Krista considered it cheating although you could see the little sparks of anger in their eyes when they had to kiss someone else.
“Bye! Have fun!” I yelled at the door to Krista, Nat, Jordan, Amanda, and Kollin leaving. I couldn’t hear their comments back since they were too far already.
“I think drinking is fun.” Noelle said, swaying to the music that was still playing from my phone. She had been drinking quite an amount.
“I agree.” Dylan held up the last bottle of beer. Him and Kollin drank most of it while the others, including me, focused more on what actually tasted good; cinnamon moonshine. The cinnamon completely masked the taste of rubbing alcohol.
