"I may not live to see our glory," Alexander around the table, almost singing.
"I may not live to see our glory." Everyone besides you repeats. You're still not used to them, so you keep quiet.
"But I will gladly join the fight."
The others repeat Alex.
"And when our children tell our story,"
The others keep quiet and look at you. What do they want? Oh.. yeah.
"They'll tell the story of tonight." You sing. Everyone smiles.
"Let's have another round tonight." Mulligan says, smiling.
Lafayette repeats him. Then Alexander.
Yeah. This is where I'm supposed to be.
Laurens passes you a drink. You decline giving it back, "Sorry, I don't drink." You put on a small smile, trying not to seem rude. He smiles back. Wow, he's pretty cute.
No Y/N! Stop thinking like that. There is NO place for love in war.
Laurens sings to us, looking around the table. "Raise a glass to freedom, something they can never take away,"
"No matter what the tell you!" You sing.
You take a sip of the drink. A couple more. And a couple more.
And I'm sure you know how the rest goes.
~Time Skip~
It's 1 AM. Everyone else is fast asleep and you're wide awake. I should be asleep, we have training in the morning. You yawn, waking Lafayette up.
He sits up, "Mon chéri, what are you doing awake? You're going to need energy for training."
"I just can't sleep." You say, looking up. He called my darling.. what happened last night? Did I drink? I hope not. My father would be infuriated.
Did I tell them my secret? I hope not.
You fall asleep.
