The Battle Of Yorktown, 1781.
You've spent multiple restless night planning out defense/attack mechanisms with your father. You've decided to have some troops surround the British, some will attack from afar, and some will stay here for defense.
On the other hand, Laurens is going to South Carolina to lead his first all black regiment.
He's leaving now. He didn't tell you. Why not?
You catch up to him before he leave, "John! Wait up!"
"Y/N? How did you know I was leaving?"
"I'm not stupid, John. Now, listen, please stay safe. I don't want you getting hurt, or even worse. Stay safe for me." You give him a hug, "I love you, John."
He hugs you back, "I love you too, Y/N. Stay safe out there. I'll be back before you know i'm gone."

Attack.
Like always, you fight beside your father. You are in one of the troops that attack from afar, shooting cannons and stuff like that.
~Skip the battle and stuff because I wanna make this part of the chapter short~
And just like that it's over, we tend to our wounded, we count our dead. Black and white soldiers wonder alike if this really means freedom.

"Dad!" You run up to your father in tears, "We won!" You give him a big hug.
"I know, Y/N. And you know what, I'm proud of you." Your father tells you.
You gasp, "Really?" That's the first time he said that in a good while.
"Of course. You did well out there, Y/N."
"I can't wait to see mom again." You look at him with starry eyes.
His expression saddens, "I'm afraid you won't see her for a couple more years."
"Dad? What do you mean?"
"I've arranged for you to stay with Hamilton. Marquis will be accompanying you for a week before he goes back to France."
"Dad, we never agre-"
He takes you to your carriage and hands you your bag, "Goodbye Y/N. I love you." He escorts you in.
The carriage (with Lafayette and Alexander in it) takes off. "I love you dad! Tell mom that I love her!"
You look at Laf and Alexander with a shocked/mad face. "WHAT?"
"Y/N I know you're mad, but we can work this out."
"We never discussed this, Alexander! Why didn't you guys tell me? I'm supposed to know this stuff to, you know!" After what seems like forever, you stop rambling. Alex counts down from three. Once he gets to one, you flop your head in Laf's lap and start balling your eyes out.
"Yup, there comes the waterworks.."
Laf gives you never-ending "emotional support" until the carriage arrives at the Hamilton residence. "C'mon, Y/N, get up."
You get up and grab your luggage. You take a deep breath. You're not sure if you're gonna like it here, but it can't be that bad.
You walk into the house. Woah. It so... amazing. It's... I can't describe it. You take a seat, "You have a very beautiful house, Alexander." You sit up, attempting to look like a proper lady. You've never actually met Eliza, so you want to make a good impression on her.
Lafayette takes a seat next to you. He places his hand on yours.
Alexander smiles, "Thank you, Y/N." He pauses, "Eliza, my love! I'm home!"
You see Eliza scurry down the staircase, "Alexander!" She runs up to him, giving him a big hug and multiple kisses. Awww. They pull apart from their hug, "Oh, this must be Marquis and Miss Washington." She smiles, "'How are you two today?
"I'm doing very well, thank you." You sit up with your hands in your lap and legs crossed. I'm trying too hard.
Laf is more focused on you. He's making sure you're comfortable. Eliza ignores the fact that he isn't answering and just chuckles it off. "Anyways, Miss Washington, we should get you a dress. Shall we?"
You hesitantly decline, saying that you're not into dresses and would rather wear something else. Alexander gives you the look. You know, the look that goes like, "Just go with her." Yeah, that look. You get up from your seat and follow Eliza to the tailors. You walk into the little shop and spot a familiar tailor sitting in a chair sketching out a new design for a dress. You sneak up to his chair and surprise hug him from behind.
He jumps out of fear, he squares his fists like he's ready to deck someone. "Who's there? Who are you?"
"Woah, Herc, calm down. It's just me!" You giggle and wave.
"Oh, Washington. It's just you." He hugs you back.
You giggle, "You looked like you were gonna beat the shit out of someone."
"I was about to," He chuckles, "But I wouldn't even think of punching you. You're too fragile."
You yell at him, "I AM NOT!" Your voice squeaks, so it sounded cute.
~time skip~
You and Eliza are back at her house. You got your dress tailored to fit you and Eliza had Mulligan stitch hers up.
This is gonna be fun.
