He's married. You gave a deep sigh and hung your head down low.
"I should respect that, shouldn't I? I'm in love with a married man," You shook your head, "how pathetic of me." You let out another sigh and turn around just to see the emptiness of your room. You were finally getting around to moving out of your brother's house and into your own place. It wasn't very far from your current residence, so there wouldn't be much of a difference. The new place was beautiful, you couldn't wait to decorate it. There was a garden in the back and a delightful porch out front. It was a very quaint house, but soon it would be your very quaint home.
You weren't ready to move out yet. You couldn't. The children loved you there— and not to mention you got a little cha-ching from Alexander when you babysat. But all money aside, you loved these kids. Being their aunt was an amazing thing. You knew you were only going to be down a few blocks, but you'd still miss living here.
You kicked your feet up on your desk and lay your head back. You rested your eyes and soon enough, you dozed off into oblivion.
~In Your Dream~
You saw him. "Gilbert! Gilbert!" You called out.
He was standing on top of a hill. You started to run to him. You ran as fast as you could, but the hill only seemed to get farther and farther away.
In the distance you heard a voice. A very familiar voice as well. "Y/N, mon cher. Come forth."
You ran and you ran, but he only seemed to grow further from you. Before you knew it, he disappeared. You weren't able to see him anymore. Him and his shadow dispersed into the clouds.
You dropped on your knees. Each tear you shed created its own little puddle on the surface.
