You and Aaron Burr have always been close. During the war, you didn't really talk to each other that much, but now, you two are closer than Angelica and Eliza. (and Peggy.) You're both bookworms, so you and him get along just fine.
As of now, you are lying your head in his lap as you read a book and sip tea. You yawn, "I'm getting tired, I should head back."
"You can stay the night here, Y/N." He tells you. His voice is soft and soothing.
"Oh, no no no, I would hate to be a bother."
"Y/N, you're my best friend, you won't bother me."
Soon enough, you fall asleep in Aaron's lap. No, you two are not dating, and you are not trying to date him, he's just comfortable. Yes, he has good looks, and yes he has a nice voice, but he has a wife and a child. You could never think of pursuing him. You're in love Lafayette anyways, he is more than enough for you.
You spend the next couple nights at his house. You didn't tell anyone where you are, but it's fine. You just hope that they're not worried.
Back at Alex's place.
You slowly creep through the door. Alexander is sitting in a chair, fiddling his thumbs. He turns to you, "Y/N! Where have you been? I was so worried, I thought something happened to you! I thought you got hurt... or even worse!"
"Alex, calm down, I'm fine." You make sure that he knows you were alright, but you can tell that he's not convinced.
"Y/N, it's almost been two weeks! I was so worried!"
You pause, "Where's Laf...?"
"Oh, Y/N, he left." Alex notices how sad you sound.
You feel like your heart just broke in half. I didn't even get to say goodbye. You start crying. You can't help it.
When will I see him again?

Two chapters in one day!
~
When I published the last one, I was almost at 300 views. Now, I'm almost at
400! This is completely insane.
~
This is just a short filler chapter that adds a bit more "drama???" to the story.
